The location was excellent, really nice neighbourhood and close to the funicular as well as lots of restaurants and bars (but on a quiet street). Nice homely vibe, helpful staff, good breakfast including homemade yoghurt and fresh juice! Lovely courtyard. Great room layout for our family with mezzanine upstairs for our son and private bathroom.

It was the worst place I've ever stayed in. The place seems abandoned, the room had fungi / mushrooms growing on the wall, the pillows were dirty, only had a dirty bathroom and the box was broken and fell on us.

The staff is so accommodating and friendly. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Hostel Rio Amazonas. We never stay anywhere else when we're in Santiago. It's affordable and always exceeds our expectations. The beds are super comfortable, the room and linens are super clean and cozy. We love staying here as it feels like staying with family without the drama! The dog Ginny makes it feel even more like a home!
