The suburban/semi-rural location was perfect — just a 5-minute walk to the bank & coffee shop and a 15-minute bus ride into town. All staff members — from the gardener to the highest level of hotel staff — were very welcoming & helpful.

We stayed here for a night on a cycling holiday along the Rhine. It's easy to get to from the river, virtually the first house in the village. Dave and Beata are wonderful people who just want you to relax and enjoy your stay with them. It's easy to feel at home. The rooms are well-appointed and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is out.of.this.world. My daughter had a cold and Beata kindly mixed up some herbal teas for her. Dave took great care of us and was an excellent host. Recommend highly for all travellers - work, business, family, solo - and have already recommended it to my friends. Best place we stayed on our holiday.

This one was a surprise. I didn’t realize it was so far from Basel when I booked. Probably would’ve stayed closer to the city but it was an interesting experience. You’re out in the country! There’s a working farm on the property with bison. It’s off the beaten path but beautiful with hiking trails. Our room with a view was big with comfortable bedding and a thick robe for going to the shared bathrooms. Nice patio with a view and elegant dining room. We rented a car to get there.
