Caschu Alp Boutique Design Hotel Stoos - adults only, hotel in Seelisberg

Caschu Alp Boutique Design Hotel can be found right in the heart of the car-free village of Stoos ob Schwyz at 1300 metres above sea level, next to ski slopes and hiking paths.

What a beautiful boutique hotel this lovely couple is running. We knew from the pictures it would be luxury but it was even better than expected. They also run a restaurant with a high Bib Gourmand rating, which absolutely deserves it and exceeded our expectations. There are also more affordable restaurants in this pittoresque village if you like. A very nice and family run hotel in this special village of Stoos. The rooms and bathrooms are very comfortable, we had the best sleep here. It's not cheap, you are in Switzerland after all, but if you can spend it it is absolutely worth it.

Berggasthaus Eggberge, hotel in Seelisberg

This mountain accommodation is set in a car-free zone at an altitude of 1,450 metres above Altdorf and Flüelen. Berggasthaus Eggberge can only be reached by cable car.

The views are incredible, changing every ten minutes based on the clouds you could just look out the window all day. The owners were welcoming and friendly and it was interesting to hear their renovation story and to see all the work they've put into the place. The food was delicious, especially the lemongrass soup!

Gipfelrestaurant Fronalpstock, hotel in Seelisberg

Gipfelrestaurant Fronalpstock is situated in Stoos, 1922 metres above sea level and next to the 4er Sesselbahn Fronalpstock and 6er Sesselbahn.

The location is breathtaking. Well worth the hassle of getting our luggage up the chairlifts to spend a night there with fabulous food, cute baby goats, excellent service and the magic of watching the sunset and having the place to ourselves. We enjoyed the breakfast the next morning and felt like VIP’s as no one was up on the mountain for the sunrise.

The host was super helpful providing all info, accommodating our requests and giving good tips. The location is out of the world with best mountain and lake views. The restaurant was also very good, with a very friendly/family atmosphere in the evening. It just made our short stay memorable. Even the people from the village were very friendly.

The location was beautiful The transport using the ferry and then the cogwheel train to get there was such fun. The hotel restaurant was of an unexpectedly high standard. It was like Michelin star dining and the views were breath taking. Breakfast was also lavish.

Loved the location of the hotel! Situated high above the lake, the view is gorgeous, and it's neatly located next to a funicular car so you can start your Weg der Schweiz from there. The breakfast was amazing too - plenty choices of great leaf tea, all kinds of nut milk, and amazing sourdough bread.
