We stayed at Pelterheggen with extended family over the Christmas break, with elderly parents as well as young kids. The house was perfect for this, with the ground floor easily accessible for less mobile elderly and the top floor great for kids with a play area, as well as the playground and tractors etc in the yard. The wood heater was a big hit, creating a very cosy winter vibe. The house is spacious and very comfortable, and great host who was very helpful with anything we needed. When staying with kids I definitely recommend a trip to the massive playground and restaurant at Scoutsrally only a few kilometers away. Overall the perfect place for our family reunion.

Didn't expect much upon our visit to the quiet town of Hamont Achel, but our stay in Tanja and Willem's B&B made it worthwhile. Beautiful home, kind hosts, fresh breakfast, and cute pets! They did our laundry and let us borrow their bikes for free. Instantly our favorite stay in all of Europe! If ever we make it back to their town, we'll definitely stay here again.

Dorine and Jos are amazing hosts, who have a lot of interesting stories to share. From the minute we walked on their property we felt instantly welcome. Their property is absolutely beautiful and equipped with everything and more one would need for a relaxed weekend away (a pool with a perfect temperature, very big rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, bicycles that we could borrow, a huge breakfast, and an amazing bathtub). The house is very close to the Achel monastery and only a few minutes away from nature. We really appreciate that Jos took the time to drive us to a beautiful spot in the forest, where we were able to start a lovely cycle tour. We enjoyed every second of our stay there.
