La Bella Vita was a beautiful family home. We stayed in a large, private area that included two comfortable bedrooms, a huge bathroom and two massive living areas. We were supplied with the facilities and food to create snacks and breakfast as well as tea and coffee. Our baby was well catered for with a cot, high chair and baby bath. The host was friendly and informative and carefully showed us around and explained how to manage heating, cooking, TVs etc. The house was situated in a quiet area and had beautiful gardens. It was a great location for us as we were there to attend a wedding at Rocklea Farm, which is only a few minutes drive from there.
Only a 5-minute drive from Geelong city, Barwon Valley Lodge is set on 8 acres of relaxing parkland alongside the Barwon River. The city centre is about a short 5-minute drive away.

Location was great, close to many parks, walks and cbd and foreshore were a 10min drive.
Park facilities were great and property was well looked after and clean. Kids loved the bouncy pad and playground.
Staff were all friendly and approachable and rooms were clean enough and well equipped for a longer stay. Beds super comfy, bedding very clean and heated blankets were a bonus.
Would definitely recommend the deluxe cabin as we couldn’t fault it. We had a spectacular stay here. 10/10

In practise we liked everything, the room was really spacious and clean, bed comfortable, so nice. The pool was excellent. Most of all the lady who was in the evening at the reseption and at the same time taking care of the bar was marwellous. She was superfriendly and at the same time expert. She managed to make us perfect snacks despite.my allergies. Even in the morning the staff had noticed dietary foods nicely. Thank you! Hope these people can teach your other staff, because after a couple of days we stayed here also, but the experience especially conserning the dietary food, was not so good.

The closeness to a venue that I was required to be at late evening then early the following morning.
Not many options in area. It’s not a holiday destination. If you need to be in Corio Bay it’s definitely 5 star behind the doors.
