Spulhof is a place in alpine paradise. We only had sunshine on our arrival day, but the surrounding mountain scenery even in mist and clouds is wonderful. One can see the Dachstein glacier from here, as well as pine forests, from which a deer emerged most mornings. We had the uppermost 2 bedroom apartment with its own little balcony. It was spacious and very clean. It is easy to access the delights of Gosau, Hallstatt with its world class museum, openair museum and Salzburg. Lorenz was very welcoming and offered us beer and tea when we arrived. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Sabine who manage the property is wonderful person. The apartment is wonderful, clean and spacious. The view outside is amazing. The location of the apartment is a little far from the center. If you have a car, no problem. I highly recommend it to those who love tranquility, nature and a view of the mountains.

There are many details in the apartment which show the hosts put a lot of effort into it. We really appreciated it. The surround area is very quiet. There are always several cows with bells on the slope crossing the road. The sound of cowbells only made the area felt even more quiet. It's 5-min drive to the town of Abtenau at which there are several nice restaurants, and supermarket like Spar and Billa. One of the best time for us was that getting some food (still dilicious) back from Spar, then had the dinner at the balcony enjoying the sunset.
