Our 3-star Villa Vanilla Kendwa hotel is located 300 meters from the most beautiful and largest beach in Zanzibar, Kendwa Beach. This property has the best view of the beach on a little hill. It’s really clean, simply designed and has a great restaurant on the top floor. We ended up having every meal there. The owner is also friendly and the staff look after you. It was a good chill place in a great location around shops, hair salons, food and 5 minutes from the best beach in the area.

Facing the beachfront, Sansi Kendwa Beach Resort offers 4-star accommodation in Kendwa and features an outdoor swimming pool, garden and terrace. This is maybe one of the best hotels in Kendwa. Rooms are very spacious, food was great, stuff was amazing, garden - wow, beach was good although there were some boats in front of the hotel, but 20m from hotel there is another huge beach. It’s very quiet as well. The best here is that the tides are not that big because of the nature of the coast line, it’s not like on the east side where the ocean just disappears for kilometers. I can’t tell enough how thankful I am to Joseph the manager of the hotel. The day before we arrived I received a message from the hotel saying that there is an overbooking and we have to go to another Sansi hotel which is 5* but is located in Michamwi. I was really disappointed to hear that as we did a lot of research and wanted to stay in Kendwa. Then I sent a message to Joseph on What’s up asking for a resolution and to let us stay in Kendwa at least for few days. He agreed and everything was set. On the day we had to move to Sansi Kae they said that there is again an overbooking and sent us to another Sansi hotel in the jungle of Michamwi - Sansi Pearl beach resort. I have never seen such a beautiful and secluded hotel with a private beach just for us. It was so great. So at the end thanks to Joseph we have seen both coast lines. I will remember these people forever as they were so kind

Located on Kendwa Beach in Nungwi, the Sunset Kendwa Beach Hotel offers spacious rooms and bungalows. It features a dive centre, a restaurant and 24-hour front desk. we loved the hotel and Kendwa area so much that we decided to extend our stay from 3 to 5 days. The place is squeaky clean and very well maintained. During our visit, the hotel was under going renovations and expansion so something to look forward to! we stayed in the bungalows (deluxe rooms) and they were lovely: spacious, comfortable with a picturesque view from its balcony. Sitting in the balcony to enjoy a cup of coffee was a blessing. The staff are helpful and friendly especially the room service and pool/ beach teams. Also, I am beyond appreciative for the reception team. The reception works around the hour. They are ready to help and support with any matter to ensure guests comfort. To count some of the things that the reception team went out of their way to help with are: - helping us activate and recharge Zanzibari SIM card at 2 am. - Rearranging twin bed rooms to be king bed rooms in order to accommodate our request to change our rooms away from the construction area. - Rearranging their booked rooms to allow us to complete our stay in the same rooms after we extended our stay on very short notice. - Helping us get taxis at better rates than anywhere else. - helping us exchange currency at better rates than anywhere around. I loved the baked goods range at breakfast and the daily fresh brewed coffee. The newly added pool is refreshing and perfect for swimming laps. I used the pool every time there was high waves at the beach! I loved the beach front area because it had many different seating spaces (sofas under shade, tables and chairs, sun beds, hammocks, benches, swings) so it was not like most hotels just sun beds stuffed next to each other.

Located on Kendwa Beach and surrounded by lush gardens, Kendwa Rocks Hotel offers rooms and suites with views of the Indian Ocean or the garden. Zanzibar Town is 1 hour drive away. The staff is extra extra friendly, this is my third time staying in and i never got disappointed

Located on Kendwa Beach, the oasis of luxury that is Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa offers guests stylish, individually decorated accommodation with a terrace overlooking the Indian Ocean or garden. Everything, the service, the staff but most of all the food was exceptional. The depth, breadth, quality and sheer variety and extent of the food was extraordinary - we loved the meals particularly the gala night. A perfect hotel.
