CityInn Hotel Plus- Fuxing North Road Branch offers accommodation in Taipei. It features modern-style rooms and free WiFi access throughout the entire building. If I could give this hotel an 11 that is what I would do! The check-in experience was amazing. Maruko was quite simply the most impressive hotel clerk I have ever met. She provided us with very helpful advice for our trip, and did everything in such a cheerful and effective way that one could not help but to be impressed. She even left us with a lovely, hand-written card at the end (complete with very cute pictures which she drew). I may frame this card :) After staying previously at a hotel in Taipei which did not meet our expectations, it was such a joy to stay at the CityInn. Everything was done just in the right way. It was clean, restful and smart. They kept our luggage for us as we travelled around which made a huge difference. Obvously I would stay here again - indeed I don't think there is anywhere else I would even think about staying in Taipei.

San Want Residences Taipei is a luxurious hotel located along Nanjing East Road, a 10-minute walk from Zhongshan MRT. Very friendly and kindly staff. It was very helpful to have a Japanese staff. He took the trouble to call a taxi that can use a yo-yo card.

Just 5 minutes' walk from Songjang Nanjing MRT Station, Evergreen Laurel Hotel features rooms with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen cable TV. This is a great hotel located about 4-5 mins walk from the MRT. The staff is very nice and efficient. A special thanks to Mr. Huang at the reception who helped us with a reservation at one of the Michelin-starred restaurants. The room was an upgrade and was quite large, comfortable and clean. With access to MRT and bus line, you can easily plan your route in and around Taipei. Upon entry in the lobby, there is a lounge area where you can sit and meet friends to relax from a long day before retiring to your room. Of interest, there are two bakeries nearby that can offer necessities for a quick breakfast coupled with a latte from 7-11 (inexpensive and quite good). We also had the hotel's breakfast buffet one day and it is very good as well as complete for Asian/Western styles. Laundry is possible with coin operated machines on two floors. All in all, a superb stay of 5 days and we certainly would return.

Parkview Taipei features a fitness centre, garden, a restaurant and bar in Taipei. Very comfortable, quiet room. Staff were wonderful. Some great offers in the bar/restaurant if you’re too tired to eat out. Very reasonable transfer price to and from airport.

Offering free WiFi, Jolley Hotel is located 5-minute-drive away from Ningxia Night Market. The hotel has easy access to Zhongshan Elementary School MRT Station. Room size was excellent for the location. Washing machine and drier plus mini kitchen and balcony were a bonus. Comfy beds

Grand Mayfull Taipei offers sumptuous spaces and accommodations in Taipei, 5 minutes’ walk to Miramar Entertainment Park. Guests can enjoy free WiFi in all rooms. I have to start with an unfortunate event that turned out to be very fortunate for us: we stayed in this hotel at the time of the 7.4 earthquake in early April. The event itself was absolutely scary, but looking back we were very thankful to stay at this place instead of anywhere else. The building was all moving and shaking, but there was no damage at all thanks to the construction of the building. The staff was very nice and helpful at all times. The building is beautiful, including the interior and the room! We absolutely loved the white colours in the room. The room was spacious and equipped with everything, with a nice walk in closet, an office corner and a huge bathroom (we loved the Japanese style toilet :) ). The location is great, there are two shopping malls in a walking distance, with some nice restaurants.

新仕飯店-New City Hotel is conveniently located in Chong Shan District, a short 3-minute walk from Shuanglian MRT Station. It offers affordable accommodation with free Wi-Fi. This was by far my favourite hotel in Taiwan! Compliments for the staff! Very friendly and just overall very pleasant both the cleaning staff and the front desk/lobby!. Loved the rooms so spacious. It had everything we needed and wanted. It was noisefree, comfortable bed and sheets. The location was great near some 7/11 and cute restaurants near Jiancheng park. Zhongshan shopping mall like Mitsukoshi mall with a Din Tai Fung, Ningxia night market and Dihua old town are nearby (If you like walking) quite a few busstops nearby as well. Will book it again when I return!
