The location is superb, the staff is exceptionally friendly, and the breakfast is delicious. To my surprise, my room surpassed the beauty depicted in the picture, which is a rare occurrence.

Located in the hills surrounding Funchal, this 18th-century mansion is set in extensive botanical gardens with 600 different plant species. All rooms have balconies overlooking the gardens. To say that the quality of the service provided by the staff could not be faulted would be to do an injustice to the excellent service and friendliness of all the staff, from the reception, to the bar, to the dining and the housekeeping staff. They couldn’t have been more professional helpful or nicer.

Orquidea opens out on to an extra-large roof-top terrace, overlooking Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean. This is a great-value hotel, simple and a little old and worn (call is "classic"!), but comfortable; the location is perfect; the staff was very friendly and helpful (Ronnie was the best!); it was very cheap, the breakfast was decent with a beautiful view. Overall, we got more than we expected and more than we paid for. Thank you!

Featuring views of Funchal Bay, The Views Baia - Adults Only Hotel offers modern accommodation. Facilities include the Four Feelings Spa, 2 swimming pools, and a well-equipped gym. It was an amazing stay - very friendly staff, I had a little dental emergency and they got me an appointment right away. Big buffet for breakfast, good quality. Nice cocktails in the bar, there was also always entertainment in the evening which was nice. Clean, room was nice and big. Easy parking, good location, close to the center (but a bit uphill on the way back)

One of our best hotel experience so far. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the hotel has a gorgeous park and a very calming athmosphere. Breakfast was extreamly good, lot of local food and fruits. We just loved it.

Great location easy to get in and out of with parking on site. Quiet street to be able to rest after long days of hiking. Nice terrace to relax with a book.
