The newly renovated 4-star Hotel Baía Azul is ideally situated a 4-minute walk from Funchal’s beachfront. The buffet breakfast had a great selection everyday with quality foods, the view was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. We liked that you could rent the sauna for an hour all to yourself. All the drinks and food at the bar were delicious and well made. Sitting out on the main terrace with the views of the ocean and big comfortable chairs was very nice.

Renovated in 2018, the 4-star Hotel Alto Lido is located in Funchal’s prime area – Lido, 2.5 km from the city centre. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful! They booked our tours for us. The hotel room was spacious with a balcony with sea views. Very talented nightly musician included traditional Portuguese troupe to soft rock. Nice breakfast buffet.

As part of the Vila Porto Mare resort, this hotel offers 4 restaurants, 6 bars and 5 swimming pools. Porto Mare features an extensive tropical garden on the Atlantic oceanfront. Amaizing beautiful hotel! Very nice green teretory with pools, good food !

Situated atop a natural peninsula, The Cliff Bay provides panoramic Atlantic Ocean views and private sea access. We do like everything about hotel. Excellent place for everyone.

Located in Funchal, within 600 metres of Gorgulho - Gavinas Beach and 2.9 km of Formosa Beach, Vila Vicência provides accommodation with a bar and free WiFi. Great location and staff, they are super friendly! If we come back to Funchal, we definitely are staying there again!
