I loved the artisan soap to be able to take such a beautiful item back home from there was a delight. Location was fantastic, staff were amazing and of course love the mezcal.

Ideally situated in the centre of Oaxaca City, Casa Esmeralda Hotel is within 8.1 km of Monte Alban and 45 km of Mitla. The location of the hotel is great, right in the city center. Everything I needed was close by. The hotel and the room are extremely clean, the cleanest hotel I have been to in Mexico. The bed was comfy and the shower was great! The TV has Netflix, even though I didn’t really make use of that and air condition is available if needed. From a hospitality point of view, the owner of the hotel did all she could to make my stay an amazing one, she even took me out for lunch. The other two ladies that work there were very nice to me too. The hotel is a small place, but very quaint. They also have a roof terrace with an amazing view of the city.
