Japanese-style hotel Kokuya offers comfortable rooms that boast a private outdoor hot spring bath and free internet access. The hotel features 2 restaurants, a spa and spacious hot-spring baths. Don’t expect glam. The room is a bit long in the tooth but practical and clean, service and food are exceptional. The beds can be an acquired taste but it is what it is if you sign up for it. Also some really kickass retro gear like the coffee machine and audio installation outside. We loved it.

On just a 5-minute drive from Yudanaka Station, Wafu-no-Yado MASUYA features beautiful Japanese-style rooms, hot spring baths and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms boast a private outdoor hot spring bath. Friendly and helpful staff. Room is spacious and super clean. Great food. The onsens (both private and public) are superb.
