Boasting natural hot spring baths, Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya is located a 15-minute walk from JR Tendo Station, 50 km from Sendai. Our stay here was impressive, we had the deluxe family room, which was spacious and had a cozy Japanese vibe to it. The hotel staff was amazing and even though I changed our arrival day like 10 times and we arrived so late in the evening, dinner was prepared for us and we had a private traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Situated in Tendo in the Yamagata region, Ichiraku tendo spa & brewery features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot spring bath. What a cool place! There were so many opportunities to taste the beer that was brewed locally on-site. From the drinks bar at check-in to the tasting room open all day to the all-you-can-drink plan at dinner, the hotel was really quite generous with their liquid offerings. Even non-drinkers are accommodated with plenty of alcohol-free options. We also liked that they had multiple private baths on site. The main onsen were also quite nice. The food was fantastic and the beef served at dinner was some of the best I've had.

Awesome location, 5 min away from Tendo station.

Situated in Tendo, 30 km from Zao Onsen Ski Resort, Sakaeya Hotel features accommodation with a hot spring bath, a public bath and an open-air bath. Roof top bath and breakfast. Coffee at the ground floor lobby was lovely looking into the beautiful garden. The room was nice and clean.

Takinoyu Hotel features a spacious outdoor hot-spring bath, karaoke and massages. Lovely courtyard and walkway around it. Hotel felt very peaceful. Dining in private room was great.

Japanese-style hotel Shouhakutei Azumaso features rooms with a traditional Japanese decor, overlooking a beautiful Japanese garden. Its outdoor hot spring bath is surrounded by lush nature. Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and lovely outside bath. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Was a very relaxing place to stay. Would recommend the experience.
