The staff were very friendly and accommodating of our lack of japanese skills. Atmosphere was quiet and peaceful, and the room was comfortable. Breakfast was included in the initial cost of the booking, and the quality of it was fantastic, doubly so considering it came at no extra charge. Location was also great, 5 minute walk to both the local station and convenience stores.

Renovated in July 2018, located on a hill, Chambre dhote Tatami offers accommodation in Suwa, just a 5-minute walk from JR Kamisuwa Station. Lake Suwa is 1.3 km away. The location was very nice and quiet, and the views of Suwa lake spectacular. The sleeping boxes were quite spacious, and their privacy was good. On the other hand, I can't thank enough the owner for their kindness and help. The owner even told me about a firefly event and helped me see it. I am very happy I stayed there, and hope I have another chance to go in the future.
