Situated conveniently in the Ikuchi Island district of Onomichi, yubune is set 25 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, 27 km from Saikon-ji Temple and 31 km from Saikokuji Temple. I wasn't expecting much, but Setoda and Yubune Hotel surpassed my expectation. Design wise very sophisticated, comfortable and spacious for Japan standard. The common area on the 2nd floor was beautiful, and most importantly The Sentō! 10/10, definitely the main highlight of this hotel, you get to relax in hot water after a long day of exploring the island!

SOIL Setoda features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Onomichi. Located around 28 km from Saikon-ji Temple, the hotel with free WiFi is also 31 km away from Saikokuji Temple. This place is AMAZING!!! GREAT value for money and aesthetically pleasing 😍 it's super clean, the have a restaurant on the ground floor which served the BEST chicken curry I have ever had in my life 😅. I was cycling along the Shimanami Kaido route and it was a wonderful gem to sleep in for one night. They have a place to park your bike and they give a few amenities like a toothbrush, a towel and some water.

We actually were on our bicycles to get there and no problem locating the hotel. There's plenty of parking spaces in front of the hotel, if you come by car. Facilities are great. We stayed in shared dorm using shared bathroom which is no issue for us at all. Bunk bed is quite comfy and quiet at night. Bathroom is squeaky clean, very very clean! We love everything here and will definitely plan a trip to stay here again!

Shimanami Osayo no Yado - Vacation STAY 16166 is set in the Ikuchi Island district of Onomichi, 25 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, 28 km from Saikon-ji Temple and 31 km from Saikokuji Temple. The host was exceptional. Dinner and breakfast was included and both were traditional Japanese and delicious. Our host was so kind and drove us to the bike oasis where we hired our bikes. We absolutely loved the islands in the seto sea and it was wonderful to be staying on one of them and made to feel so welcome. The whole experience was a major highlight of our stay!

I enjoyed the reception and welcome at check in. The place is an old traditional Japanese place, but it’s been kept very nice and clean and the facilities like bathrooms are all renovated. There is a very nice lounge and kitchen. There are tea and coffee, self service. It’s almost in front of the ferry port, and in walking distance (~10 minutes) to Kousanji (temple) and the hill of hope.
