Every detail was well thought through and beautiful. The room was spacious and comfortable, we were able to park our bikes in the room. The staff was very helpful and accomodating, the breakfast was good, and the onsen lovely!

Arrived at the end of a long day of cycling, feeling almost broken. We got in and the view, the house, the treats and the care the owners had taken in readying the house made us feel on top of the world. We drank tea on the deck; watched TV; had a bath in the amazing bathtub; and didn't leave the house at all until we checked out. Which worked out, because there us not much around, and it's in a very quiet spot. The owner was very helpful and responsive too. Favourite place we have stayed in in Japan, by far.

24 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, Bed&Cafe Onzo オンゾー is a recently renovated property situated in Onomichi and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Reo-san was an extremely humble host and always goes the extra mile for his guests. As I was leaving, Reo-san noticed I forgot my charger and biked to the Kosanji shrine (where I told him I was going) to give the charger back to me. I am super grateful for that. You can tell he takes good care of the hostel as the facilities are up to date and very clean. There are also many basic hygiene products that you wouldn't normally find at a hotel or hostel, like floss or mouthwash. The room I was given was a very good deal and the bed was comfy. The room came with two armchairs, a coffee table, a television, a fridge, cups with tea and a bunk bed. For the price, there isn't a better spot to stay in the area.
