I absolutely loved staying at Shin Toji Lulud. The staff were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. From picking us up at the bus Shima Onsen bus station to organising us vegetarian options for breakfast and dinner. The facilities are incredible. Very stylish. The hotel itself is a work of art, the decor was beautiful. The spa or onsen facilities were beautiful and clean. The hotel wasn’t very busy while we were there so each time I used the onsen, I was alone. My partner too. I found the location ideal as it’s a short 12 min walk down to the Main Street with all the p and cafes and a brisk 15 minute up to the bottom of the dam. The food was delicious. The room very spacious and comfortable. We had the corner room on the second floor which was like being in the forest. The room had desks for remote working and a private bath. If I ever go to Shima again, I will definitely stay at this hotel again. Thank you Yuto and everyone. Arigato guzaimas.

The non-smoking Shima Yamaguchi-kan offers 3 types of hot spring baths and Japanese-style accommodation with Shima River view and free internet access. A traditional onsen resort in the cutest little town. We stayed as a group of 6 in 2 rooms. Food was very traditional Japanese and was always set menu. There was so much no one went hungry even if they were picky. The onsens were beautiful with open air sections on to the river.
