Superb location near to sanjo and shijo main district area. The hotel is also very near from subway station. The room was very big and spacious, quiet for quality rest even though its so close to the central busy area.

The location is excellent. The staff are always friendly and the lobby is a welcoming sign after a long day sightseeing.

Attractively located in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Rinn Gion Yasaka is located 1 km from Gion Shijo Station, 1.5 km from Sanjusangen-do Temple and 1.5 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. Beds were comfortable, room was spacious & staff were very friendly and helped us book a dinner reservation. Nespresso in the room was appreciated.

Awarded two pavilions by the Michelin Guide 2020, Hotel Alza Kyoto is situated near the Kamo River and within Gion District, a 2-minute walk from Sanjo Station. Huge room, more like a western hotel room size. Sofa bed and table for dining in the room. Bath was jacuzzi style, with oxygenated micro bubble function in addition to traditional Japanese shower. Excellent view of the river and trees in their autumn livery. For those who have to open every cupboard and drawer in hotel rooms, there’s a surprise that awaits!

Ideally set in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Miru Kyoto Gion is located 300 metres from Gion Shijo Station, 1.2 km from Shoren-in Temple and 1.9 km from Heian Shrine. It was lovely to have high quality croissants and coffee for breakfast. Maybe some fruit would have been a nice additional touch? We loved the personal contact with the staff. On tablet with information was great and it had useful restaurant information however if we asked reception for restaurant recommendations all they did was point us to the ones on the "app" and ask us to choose one. They should participate in some family in local establishments so that they can make good recommendations. All the staff were friendly and warm and most have excellent to good English. We particularly appreciated that use of the laundry was complimentary. Our room size was fabulous but we did have the largest room available. For a lengthy stay this made things really comfortable.

Located in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station, Gion Elite Terrace provides accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Location and staff were exceptional.

Set in the Higashiyama Ward district in Kyoto, West Japan Kyoto Kiyomizu offers 1-star rooms with free WiFi. Perfect location in the heart of all the interesting stuff. Also a bus stop right around the corner to get to the train station, Golden Temple and Fushimi Inari. Easy walking distance to the river and Nishiki Market. Very comfortable room. Even though it is small there was extra space to move around, which makes a difference. We were on a corner with 2 windows which was nice. Enjoyed being able to eat breakfast in and do laundry. Wifi was usually good, slowed down occasionally probably because of traffic.

Ideally situated in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Hotel Legasta Kyoto Higashiyama Sanjo is set 600 metres from Shoren-in Temple, 1.2 km from Heian Shrine and 1.2 km from Gion Shijo Station. Good location, everything was new and clean. Comfortable room and nice staff.

Well set in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, Rinn Gion Kenninji Villa is set 1.1 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto, 1.5 km from Shoren-in Temple and 1.7 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall. The staff at Rinn Gion Kenninji always went out of their way to accommodate all our requests for taxis, reservations and anything we needed. They are extremely polite and kind. The hotel is very clean and the location is near all the restos, shops and attractions. This our second time in this hotel and would not mind coming back again soon.
