Originally built in 1889 as a red-brick cotton mill, this historical hotel is just 300 metres from the Bikan Historical Quarter. It features 2 restaurants, a bar and gift shop. It was possible to walk to Ivy Square from Kurashiki Station, however we took a taxi when we first arrived, which only cost ¥1000. The hotel was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The hotel is situated in a very convenient area as it is very close to the main streets of the traditional Bikan area of Kurashiki with its many interesting shops selling all manner of items from locally produced tea to denim, also produced locally. We didn't opt for breakfast to be included in our booking but it was very easy to find cafes close by where we could get a coffee and something to eat.

Dormy Inn Kurashiki is a 6-minute walk from Kurashiki Train Station and a 40-minute drive from Okayama Airport. It features a restaurant, free wired internet and a public bath with hot spring water. Everything is perfect for this stay...location is right by the attraction of this place. Breakfast was excellent in terms of choices and quality.

I stayed there for 1 night, the location of the hotel is not far from the train station and Kurashiki Bikan, allowing me to spend plenty of time taking cityscape photos, the price of the room included dinner and breakfast. the hotel was a little bit old but still functional and the room was clean.
