Renovated in 2016, the beautiful, chalet-like Active Life Madarao offers ski-to-door access from Madarao Kogen Ski Resort, a 3-minute walk away. Room space was excellent… surprisingly there was an onsen !!

Located a 3-minute walking distance from Madarao Kogen Ski Resort, Madarao, Xplore by Active Life offers relaxing public baths and ski-to-door access. Great location for the ski hill and nice hotel. The bar offered a lively social area and they onsen was fantastic. The breakfast had a great selection. Parking was on site.

Madarao Kogen Hotel is conveniently located on the Madarao Kogen Ski Resort and offers indoor/outdoor hot spring baths and free parking on site. JR Iiyama Train Station is a 22-minute drive away. Right on the slope with everything you need onsite. Great onsen and big buffet breakfast, we had dinner included too which was good as could use at the buffet or other restaurant brian on site also

Boasting spacious hot spring baths, Hotel Silk Inn Madarao is about 100m to Madarao Kogen ski slope entrace. It features a karaoke lounge bar, ski equipment rentals and ski drying room. I had a fabulous time staying at the Silk Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful and the Onsen was fantastic. The room was clean, with an en-suite, albeit a small bathroom but functional. The breakfast was great and the seafood cooked by the chef for dinner was delicious. The bar located in the basement was cozy and a great spot for a night cap.. I will certainly be back for the winter season as the hotel is only a short walk to the slopes.
