Set in Hakone, less than 1 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Condominium MIRAHAKONE offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The room was big and spacious with a gorgeous shower room, it felt very bespoke and well finished. The view from the room was of the mountains and we felt very snug and cosy. The bus stop outside the house goes to amazake tea house, worth a visit early morning for the atmosphere. The area felt very residential and safe.

Conveniently located in the Hakone Yumoto Onsen district of Hakone, Hotel Zagakukan is situated 47 km from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, 49 km from Shuzen-ji Temple and 7.3 km from Kowakudani Station.... Felt upscale on a quiet street. The vibe of the room was lovely. Soaking tub was perfect. Loungewear and robes provided. 5pm checkin.

Located around 5 km from Hakone Open-Air Museum, the hotel with free WiFi is also 6 km away from Hakone Gora Park. great location close to the station, ease of check in, very pleasant atmosphere with the wood finish, we didn’t see any staff during the stay but I’m sure they would have been readily available if we had needed them

Situated atop a hill in Hakone, Gyokutei offers an authentic Japanese accommodation with an indoor hot spring bath. Hakoneyumoto Train Station is a leisurely 8-minute walk from the ryokan. Our stay in Gyokutei was absolutely amazing. We loved every minute of it! The attention put by the staff was spectacular. Breakfast in the room and kaiseki dinners were delicious (although very traditionally Japanese, as advertised, so it might not be to everyone’s taste). Our room had a private bath with onsen water, which was great. On top of that we could use the shared onsen facilities. The stay in this ryokan was definitely a highlight of our trip to Japan.

The rooms at Kinnotake Tonosawa comes with a private hot spring bath. They also include a coffee machine. The hotel has free WiFi, and a terrace. Exceptional, genuinely engaged staff. Rooms were lovely and the in room onsen was fantastic. Staff mapped out a great one day itinerary for us, which was spot on. Property has its own bridge that leads the road up to the property. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. We have had three Michelin starred dinners so far, and the Dinner at the hotel restaurant (which does not have a star) was better than all three Michelin dinners. They refunded breakfast cost because we were leaving very early in the morning. They did so without us requesting, which was appreciated. Further, they made a small takeaway breakfast for us to take with us, again, without us even requesting it.
