Situated in Gujo, 46 km from Gero Station and 100 metres from Rensho-ji Temple, The Nomad Inn Gujo features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. Staying at the Nomad Inn in Gujo with the highlight of our recent trip to Japan. Masa-san, the proprietor, was so wonderful and picked us up from the bus station and later dropped us off our way out. He was thorough in explaining features of the house (including the TV and PS2), gave great local recommendations, and his translating device came in handy when my limited Japanese fell short. The house is in a great historic location and the town is small enough that everything is only a walk or bike ride away. My husband and I enjoyed the ample space and peaceful atmosphere of this dreamy showa era home. Some particular features that we loved were the deep bathtub (which we used every night, no problems with the water) the bikes (took these to the laundromat), and of course the back terrace which overlooks the river gorge. The views were also spectacular. You can see Gujo Castle from the upstairs window on the street side of the house. From the bedroom on the other side you see the entrance to beautiful Daijoji Temple. The smell of incense woke me on our first morning. It was raining and huge clouds of smoke were climbing the mountain from Daijoji. My husband still sleeping peacefully beside me under his fluffy kakebuton. It was perhaps the most beautiful morning of my life <3 Bonus: There is a very friendly neighbor who lives across the street and loves baseball. He made sure to show us the best spot to view fireflies and shared some ice cream with us too. We miss you Masa and Toshio and we can't wait to come back!!

Beautiful location and view of the river from the room we stayed in. Friendly host. The property had all the necessary amenities and was of a good size.

Located right in front of Yoshida River, Miharaya Ryokan offers Japanese-style accommodations and traditional multi-course meals. What a wonderful place, beautiful view of the river. Lovely staff.

In a prime location in the Gujo Hachiman district of Gujo, Shared house TATEMACHI in Gujo Hachiman is located 45 km from Gero Station, 200 metres from Gujohachiman Rakugeikan and 200 metres from Saito... Great little place, seemingly above a cafe. It was not open when I was there. Check in was easy, and the facility has everything you need. Free Wi-Fi, laundry cheaper than coin laundry, kitchen, shower, and toiletries to buy or towels to rent. I ended up in a room alone, which was nice. They are doing all they can in a small space in a tight town. I found a parking lot that would take my bike overnight. I wish I could have stayed longer. Perfect lodging in a great town.
