Featuring a spa bath, Lake Shikotsu Tsuruga Bessou AO no ZA is located in Chitose. Food was excellent and welcoming. Only difficulty was knowing how to get there. It was not clear nor was it clear how close the ice festival/sculpture was to the facility. Suprisingly close to ice sculptures and surprisingly seamless transportation to and from facility. However, it was not clear they had transportation to facility and it was diff to figure it out.

Offering French dinners and spacious Western rooms, Shikotsuko Suizantei Club is 500 metres from Lake Shikotsu-ko. Rooms include a seating area with sofa and a flat-screen TV. On-site parking is free.... An outstandingly friendly, gracious welcome. A calm and beautiful house with - in my opinion - great attention to detaile. A fabulous breakfast.

Kyukamura Shikotsuko offers accommodation in Chitose and features a garden. A hot spring bath is available for guests, along with a sauna. Free WiFi is available. Great location. Lovely selection of food. Staff were very very nice 11/10

Next to Lake Shikotsu, Daiichi Hotel Suizantei features a Japanese garden, hot-spring baths and traditional meals. The spacious rooms include a flat-screen TV, seating area and private bathroom. Amazing onsen both in the room and public, stunning lake view from the lounge, free tea and croissants that were not even advertised, shuttle to JR station, just generally a very elegant and cozy vibe. One of the best ryokans I ever stayed at.
