Hotel Palazzo Alexander is a historic building in the center of Lucca, with easy access from Porta San Donato. Rooms come with free Wi-Fi and air conditioning, and the staff is multilingual. What’s not to like about an elegant small hotel such as this in the heart of Lucca. On check in we got a great briefing of what to do in town and took the manager’s advice and attended the Puccini and Verde opera in a 1600 era cathedral. A high point. We also walked along the medieval walls of the town. The hotel was great. Breakfast was yummy, with pancakes and eggs and all of the continental goodies. We did book one room for each of us. Two tall people in these small European rooms wears thin on long trips (snoring included). So that made this stay pricey for us.

Great location, great staff, beautifully restored buildings inside the ramparts. Our room was very spacious! Breakfast was a wonderful spread of fresh fruit local cheese, charcuterie, farm eggs made to perfection, home made patisserie, fresh squeezed orange juice, apples oven cooked and a lot more. Easy paying parking 18euro per day. We will definitely stay here again soon!

Darling decor and wonderfully helpful staff. The breakfasts were also excellent. Also, the family room had a small, separate nook for our son, which he adored. I wish my guestroom in my house looked like that!

Great location in the centre of Lucca right next to the Music school. A great way tp start the day sitting out on the balcony listening to first class music :-)
