Well located in the Lal Ghat district of Udaipur, Little Peepal House is located a 3-minute walk from Jagdish Temple, 400 yards from Bagore ki Haveli and a 10-minute walk from City Palace of Udaipur. We loved our stay at Little Peepal. We stayed in one of their newly renovated rooms and it’s been done very tastefully and was definitely the best bathroom we’ve had so far in India. Location was ideal (note that only tuktuks can get to this part of the city, not ubers) as it was central and peaceful. The roof terrace was delightful and the breakfast and dinners were delicious (the spinach crepe for breakfast was a highlight). The staff made our stay very comfortable and were helpful with booking onward trains and buses. Our favourite hotel so far in India - thank you for having us!

Kankarwa Haveli is located on the eastern banks of the Lake Pichola and 984 feet from Jagdish temple. It is an old mansion, 17TH century Haveli which is the urban house for the Kankarwa Family. From start to finish our stay was wonderful. They even tried their best to give me the room I had asked for based on the pictures, and truly it was even better in person. We woke up to a stunning view both days. Having stayed at 2 places in Udaipur, this is the best place to stay if you want a homely vibe, as you will be staying amongst the family. The in-house restaurant is so peaceful, and in my opinion the best place to enjoy the view (I don’t believe they serve outside guests). My partner had a nut allergy, and they made food from scratch for us because their kitchen was essentially the family kitchen. We ended up having most of our meals here. As a bonus, they’re able to arrange everything you need (taxis, ironing, laundry). It’s also right next to City Palace and set within the old city. I hope I haven’t misrepresented anything here, but I’d recommend this place to anyone in an instant.

Located on the eastern banks of the famous Lake Pichola and the Lal Ghat Road sits Jagat Niwas Palace, an early 17th century haveli (mansion) featuring traditional Mewar architecture. Such a cute hotel - the facilities were great, the restaurant was delicious, the staff was very hospitable. At a good value. I recommend this place!

A 5-minute walk from Udaipur’s famous City Palace and Jagdish Temple, Jaiwana Haveli was once the private residence of the Thakur of Jaiwana. Free WiFi access is available. The staff was amazing, specially in reception: Harsh was a star.

Attractively set in the Lal Ghat district of Udaipur, Sajjan Villa is located a few steps from Jagdish Temple, a 1-minute walk from Bagore ki Haveli and half a mile from City Palace of Udaipur. The hotel is beautiful in such a good location. The rooms are so comfortable and spacious, the staff are fantastic and so hospitable and kind. We were upgraded to a deluxe room with no extra charge and the price is very very reasonable! Would highly recommend.
