Boasting a garden, a terrace as well as a bar, Hotel Melibea by gaiarooms is located in Salamanca city centre, 200 metres from University of Salamanca and 600 metres from Plaza Mayor Salamanca. The location was great, near the Catedral de Salamanca and also close to the Universidad de Salamanca. I loved the hotel design, also the modern art vibes. The breakfast was great, with more than 6 types of options to choose from. We had a balcony with a view of the garden, loved it.

Located in central Salamanca, Hotel Rua is next to the Plaza Mayor and Casa de Conchas. It offers bright, modern rooms with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen satellite TV. The staff are wonderful, so friendly and helpful and incredibly patient with us and our bad Spanish. Can’t beat the area it’s in, close to everything you could possibly want as a tourist. Short walk from the train station. The room was very spacious and we loved the glassed in balcony. We were able to see the Semana Santa processions from our balcony, so special. Even though it’s a very busy area, close all the windows and it’s quiet. Breakfast was good and the towels are huge and thick. There’s a fridge in the room and they provide 2 bottles of water.
