Set in a renovated 19-century building, Hotel Boa Vila is located in the heart of Pontevedra’s historic center. Its rooms feature free WiFi and an on-site restaurant. Heaps of historical character in the deluxe room we booked. Loved the underfloor heating, especially in the bathroom, the first time we'd experienced this after some cold nights spent in accommodation along the Camino. The room was well equipped with lounge seating and a fridge. There was no overspray from the shower onto the bathroom floor with a well sealed shower recess. Our host explained the key and security card facility carefully to us and was very caring despite our limited understanding of Spanish. Cafe downstairs opened early to cater for Pilgrims.

The Hotel Restaurante Rúas can be found in the historic center of Pontevedra, close to Plaza de la Leña. It offers simple rooms with free Wi-Fi and plasma-screen TV. Ticked all the right boxes. Very happy to have made this overnight stop on the way to Porto. Thoroughly relaxing. The place was immaculately clean. Thank you.
