Hotel Villa Colonial is in the heart of Santo Domingo's historic center, and has an outdoor pool, tropical gardens and a charming patio. The air-conditioned rooms include cable TV. A must in Santo Domingo. The property is absolutely without a fault, with clean and cozy rooms. We were in the room with the terrace overlooking the street, and loved it there. But even more important than the property itself is the staff! Everyone we had any interactions with was extremely kind and helpful. And Ramon was a perfect host, attending to us the whole stay. It's safe to say he goes above and beyond for his guests. From arranging the transfer from the airport, through the welcome package in the room, accommodating breakfast requests, to helping us with renting a car. If we are ever back in Santo Domingo, we have no doubt about coming back here!

The Catalonia Santo Domingo is a sensational 21-story building that is located oceanfront at George Washington Avenue, 30 minutes from Las Americas International Airport and only a few minutes away... Love you Catalonia! That was not my first time in Catalonia, I come back here because it is the best : 1. Breakfast - just formidable, the salmon, choice of cheeses, fresh juices, the manager who is in charge does a great job!! I have been to other hotels, and here it is incomparably better. 2. Room is with great sea view, comfortable bathtub and excellent shower with hot water (believe me, sometimes it is an issue in other places!) 3. The reception zone is so spacious, love the design of the building with glass elevators!

Very basic accommodations but outstanding service and very very clean rooms and facilities made the hotel a 10/10. The staff are awesome and helpful. The restaurant next door with breakfast was good as well.
