This historic hotel was built in 1264 and is located at the Markusturm tower in medieval Rothenburg. It features a traditional restaurant and free Wi-Fi internet throughout the hotel. Location was perfect. Staff very attentive. Will be back.

This traditional, 16th-century hotel offers Franconian food, a fitness area and country-style rooms. It stands in the centre of Rothenburg, a 2-minute walk from the St. Jakob church. Everything was perfect, tasty and fresh breakfast, kind and friendly people bij the reception. Possibility to eat evening diner with reservation in the Hotel bij the reception :) Cuisine is very delicious. Room was cute and cosy ( towels, shower stuff and hairdryer in the bathroom), water, TV. Hotel is in the Centrum, close to go everywhere to see monuments.

This 3-star hotel is in a quiet side street in the historic town centre of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It offers a friendly family-run atmosphere and traditional Franconian cuisine. The location is absolutely superb, literally a few steps away from all the points of interest. I traveled by car, and a nearby parking was reserved for me, which was also very convenient. The room was small but had everything I needed. Bed comfortable. I was also provided with full breakfast! Staff very welcoming and helpful. If I come back to Rothenburg, I will choose Hotel Sonne again without hesitation!

Beautiful historical place with different than usual rooms that exceeded our expectations. It's location is great, very close to the center but very quiet at the same time. Breakfast was lovely with very nice green scenery. There is also a game room the kids really liked! Definitely a place to revisit
