Quietly located on the outskirts of the city, this self-catering apartment is just 7.5 km from Essen exhibition centre. It offers spacious accommodation with a private balcony. The apartment is very comfortable, and the location is very good. Bear in mind d that the apartment is on the first floor and there is no elevator. The apartment is well equipped, the dishwasher is very handy. However, the oven door lacks a spring, and when you open it to get rolls out, it can fall on the floor. (and possibly damage the tiles) It's a very countryside like environment, lots of green, and complaints from other guests about railroad and street noise were exaggerated. A local supermarket is nearby and also a very good Italian restaurant. The recommended restaurant 12 Apostel was disappointing, mediocre food against high prices.

The building has seen better days. Rooms are not updated either. But room was clean and had everything that I needed. Short distance to Messe Essen. No traffic issues.
