Named as one of Shenzhen's Top 10 Historical Buildings, Shenzhen Shanghai Hotel offers modern rooms with free Wi-Fi and wired internet. everything was great. the staff was very kind, breakfast good, location is great (it is near a mall, the metro station and a bus station which has a lot of bus lines going there), the rooms were clean with everything you need including hairdryer, toothpaste and a lot of hygune products, very safe because you could only go up in the elevator woth your key card. overall it was the best experience we have ever had since we have travelled

They were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Two of them who attended to us personally were particularly impressive - Mr. Jack Lian of the concierge and Miss Fairy Chen of the Western restaurant on the 2nd floor. The former gave useful information of Shenzhen and tirelessly escorted us all the way to the subway after we checked out while the latter met our request outside, we believe, her purview of work in that she went somewhere away from the restaurant to fetch us something that was not readily available thereat. It was our sincere heartfelt gratitude for their exemplary service that far exceeded our expectations. We have to congratulate the hotel management of boasting staff of such exceptional quality. This also explains why the hotel holds such high reputation.

Excellent breakfast, great gym, clean sauna, great location, front desk very helpful, plenty of taxis, very close to high speed train station.
