Housed in an elegant white building, Kaiyue Hotel Qingdao used to be a historical Christian church. I had a great experience staying at this hostel. It was clean and the staff were nice and friendly.

Conveniently set in the centre of Qingdao, Holiday Inn Express Qingdao City Center, an IHG Hotel provides buffet breakfast and free WiFi throughout the property. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted me with resolving an issue with a bank ATM, calling the bank for me and arranging matters, and keeping me up to date. They also helped me on various other occasions to find shops, manage public transport etc. The beds are comfortable (not always a given in China). The location is excellent, right next to metro line 2 and close to a number of shops and restaurants. Sockets take EU plugs, and there were also USB ports for charging. The airco was welcome in the 30-degree weather. The hotel has a free laundry service which came in handy, with short wash and dry cycles so you can do a quick wash. Breakfast was good, with a variety of choices both Western and Chinese.

Situated on Zhongshan Old Street and featuring a Minguo style, MG Hotel is 400 metres from Zhanqiao Pier and 600 metres from Qingdao Railway Station. It is 300 metres from airport bus stop. Go here - dont waste money on the high rise hotels. Room was very quiet and double glazed. Restaurant was excellent. Lady at reception very helpful

Located in the bustling area where shopping malls and office buildings are all around, The Westin Qingdao is only few steps from Wusi Square Subway Station (Line 2&3). Everything about this place was fantastic. The location 10 minutes walk to the beach, across the road is a high end Shopping Mall, subway station at the hotel entrance. Breakfast buffet filled with varieties of Chinese and Continental food of choices. As a foreigner was able to communicate with the outer world on WhatsApp and WeChat which I wasn’t able to do in other hotels in China due to internet restrictions.

Shangri-La Hotel is situated in Qingdao's central commercial district, 10 minutes' walk to May Fourth Square. The property boasts a fitness centre, spa and sauna rooms and 4 dining options. The Concierge and Staff where amazing. Breakfast is with all different types from Japanese, Chinese and European extraordinary. The room was great and super comfortable. We enjoyed all the days the great hospitality of a great first class hotel....

A 5-minute walk from the beach and Yangguang Shopping Mall, Qingdao Housing International Hotel is situated along Hong Kong Middle Road. It was very spacious and the views were great. The location was convenient to shops, malls and train stations.
