Alice was amazing and 100% available all the time.. All the staff was great even though their English was limited. The hotel is in a nice old building, the rooms are simple but nice and clean. It's right in the city centre but you wouldn't feel the noise of the main street from the rooms.

The hotel building is a historical building with a long history. It is a beautiful and well maintained old building. Our hotel room was spacious and very comfortable with all the modern necessities, We were also given yummy treats of cookies and black vinegar (a speciality of Datong and Pingyao). Breakfast was very good and the serving was big. The location of hotel is very good cos it is near the West Gate and the historical buildings and restaurants are all within walking distance in the old city. The staff at the hotel are just excellent. Alice the manager is such a vibrant, knowledgeable and helpful lady who speaks very good english.

Pingyao Elsewhere Hotel is set in the Pingyao Ancient City district in Pingyao, 400 metres from Erlang Temple. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. The hotel staff is very considerate, friendly and love to help at anytime, they response very fast and helped to arrange cars to pick us up at the station and take us to the temples. It's located inside the old town which makes it super easy to visit everywhere. Strongly recommended! Nos gusta mucho, especialmente con la gente y servicio!

Boasting well preserved architectural structure and attention-to-detail service, Jing's Residence is a hidden gem in the ancient walled town of Pingyao, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This property was upscale and well maintained while keeping with the traditional Chinese style. The staff treated us like family with Four Seasons type of service. They couldn’t do enough for you. The food was outstanding here for every meal and we looked forward to relaxing during tea time if we could get back for it and on occasion if we got back late they still would setup tea for us. There were so many little gems about this property and staff, but at turn down every night there would be fresh fruit and a snack as well as a special Chinese gift placed on your bed with a special note. Refrigerators in your room were always stocked with drinks and replenished for FREE. Drivers were also arranged for us to for pickup to and from the train station. We didn’t have to think about anything. Crystal and Nancy were like our family by the end of the trip and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Pingyao, but Jing’s!

Housed in a traditional courtyard property with a 300-year history, Pingyao Yide offers Chinese-style rooms with hand-made fine wood fittings and artwork. this really is a special place. An old house each room is different with a raised lang for a bed which was very comfortable. The staff were so kind and helpful.

Property location is perfect, they can arrange the pick up for free at your arrival to the train station and also back for your departure. Rooms are very new and clean and looks like a hotel boutique. Staff does not speak english but they manage to comunicate using google translate and they were very helpful on providing information about what to do in the city. We were departing early morning and they adapted breakfast schedule so we could eat before leaving which was very kind

Very nice staff. Excellent location (make sure to go through the South Gate on arrival since cars can't go inside the walls) and delicious food at their restaurant!!
