The receptionists at the front desk are all very unique and not just monotone service providers. They also have their moments of unhappiness, but when you need help, these receptionists will do their best to help you solve the problem. Do you need to contact the website? How to make an international call? They will even use their personal email to help you print information... If they can't help you with something, these young people will honestly tell you sorry and clear the boundaries. It's like interacting with friends, rather than just a relationship of service and being served. I like all of them.

The Hotel Waldhorn in Bern is situated a 10-minute walk or a short tram ride from the city centre and the BEA Expo. It offers free WiFi and features an underground garage at a surcharge. Good location, stuff is very friendly, even suggested best rout to explore Berne. Price was reasonable.

The Marthahaus Hotel offers you individually and tastefully furnished rooms in a quiet residential area of Bern, close to the city centre, the main station the main train station and tram line 9 to... All staff are very nice, especially the lady I met in the first day. She is very informative, friendly and kind. The facility is new and clean. Breakfast is also great.

Set in the Breitenrain-Lorraine district in Bern, Alpenblick Bern - kind of a hotel offers 3-star rooms with free WiFi. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The Alpenblick concept pleased us very much. We had really an apartment in a hotel room, complete with a kitchen (under a counter that lifts up - including a two-top range, a sink, a real refrigerator and a good coffee-maker with good coffee pads that were replenished without cost), a bar with stools for eating, as well as of course a comfortable bed and a bathroom - and plenty of storage. All to a really reasonable price. The Swiss restaurants we tried were excellent, but expensive for German tastes, so it would be great to cook in one night. Breakfast is a small continental breakfast in a basket outside your door, again for a reasonable price. (You might want to put some extra bread and cheese in the fridge, if you need more than a croissant and lots of coffee for breakfast.) There's also a common room - the library - which we saw used by a family playing games and someone working on a laptop. The associated Darling Restaurant we found excellent - one can think of it as a kind of sustainable Tapas bar. We shared four dishes, which apparently change frequently; an excellent kohlrabi salad, roast beef with a creamy horseradish sauce, grilled green asparagus, and new potatoes in a mustard sauce, together with good unfiltered wines. It's a popular place, but we were still taken care of very well. The Breitenrain neighborhood, where the hotel is, is very liberal and Akademiker-geprägt, and a really pleasant place to be - good restaurants and shops, pretty streets, political banners hanging from balconies.

Re-opened in April 2017 after renovations, Hotel Jardin Bern is situated within a 20-minute walk from the historic centre of Bern. The tram number 9 offers direct connections to the centre. Welcoming reception, easy and smooth check-in, great location and very quite at night.. Good room size.

Set 2.1 km from Bernexpo, Stay KooooK Bern offers accommodation with a shared lounge, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property. I liked the location, very easy to reach Bern center by train (one station away) or tram. The studio was spacious and very clean, with all the facilities one could need and even some extras ( like a wireless bluetooth speaker, a bow to play shooting...). I recommend this hotel

She helped tell us where to go/what to see with her useful maps - both for tourist sights and restaurants too. The breakfast was delicious and she also helped my friend who is lactose intolerant enjoy her food too!
