The staff at the front desk for our evening check-in were truly friendly and accommodating. I believe they may have also been on the desk when I called later in the afternoon following our check-out to ask if someone had found my small dental appliance left behind in an amber pill container. They offered to check and call back, and did just that reporting that it was found. My husband was able to drive to Victoria to pick it up the next day.

We've been visiting few times with overseas friends. This time with our siblings we ventured out to other part of the city, like Sydney, Brentwood Bay. There are surprises like we saw jelly fish and starfish in the Bay area..... We all look forward to return to get to know the island more!

Just a fabulous place to start, with beauty and wonderful activities in every direction, with no vehicle required to enjoy! Several restaurants in the inner harbor area. Siam(excellent Thai food), Red Fish Blue Fish (on the dock, outdoor seafood), Finn's (excellent seafood with a view) and Mexico Cafe ( fantastic service and awesome Mexican fare). Also a special mention of the Beagle Pub and Pizzeria Primavera, (both on Cook Street in Cook Street Village) fantastic pub fare and one of the world's top 100 pizzerias) what's not to love!!!

Depending on what you want to see and do time will be needed for most sight seeing and adventures. Butchart garden is minimum a half a day. Hop on hop off tour bus is worth it, all day event if you decide to spend time at the stops. Downtown Victoria, much to do and see. GREAT food everywhere. No good deals on eating out, plan on quite a bit per person to eat pretty much anywhere. Stop at the information center at the harbor to get a book on Victoria, huge help. Bring a light jacket just incase of rain. Have fun!

The combination of mountains and seascape is terrific.
The combination of mountains and seascape is terrific. A car is a must as the island is large and there are many locations to explore. Butchard Gardens is a must see even if you don't think your into that sort of thing. The wineries north of the city are also very good and beautiful. Easy to drive unlike many Euorpean countries. Very courteous and friendly people everywhere.

Love all the bright blooming flowers and the many parks!
Love all the bright blooming flowers and the many parks! Fun watching all the activity in the harbor. Ate lunch at Red Fish Blue Fish on the waterfront- felt like a local. The BC Museum was first class, was there for two hours. Wish we would have done the Hop On Hop Off bus, but ran out of time.
location was great. overall the value was good, a room for 200 dollars within walking distance of downtown core in victoria. basically what you would want, no frills, and if your priority is a cheaper hotel that you sleep in but not paying for luxury than this is the place. If you have champagne tastes dont book here.
Loved the room, the balcony with the view, and the facilities. The swimming pool was wonderful, and the hot tub and sauna were a nice surprise. The hotel is a bit out of the way but still within walking distance from downtown Victoria, and it is close to Fisherman's Wharf.
Spotlessly clean suite with kitchenette and kitted out with essentials,. Self serve laundry room on site. Great location 5 mins walk from downtown Victoria. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast.
