Jiang was a communicative and gracious host. Getting access to the room was easy, as was checking out. I had privacy the whole time using a separate entrance with a locking door. The location had beautiful views and close access to public transit. Shops and restaurants were within a 20 minute walk. Jericho Beach is also close by! Overall this was an ideal location for a solo traveler without a car, provided that you're comfortable walking a lot (including up some hills) and taking buses. Guests who are looking for lively nightlife will probably want a different neighborhood, as this one is quiet and residential.

This is a beautiful home and I enjoyed the cultural aspect of having Bin (host) cook traditional Chinese breakfasts for us! Beautiful view out the balcony.

It’s bright & clean. There’s everything you ever need; washing & drying machines, full kitchen etc. I also like the quiet atmosphere & nice neighborhood. Overall, I would highly recommend it, especially for one or two travelers because the place is not that big.

ALMA HOME is situated in the Point Grey district of Vancouver, 3 km from Spanish Banks Beach, 4.3 km from Vancouver Maritime Museum and 4.5 km from Spanish Banks. The location of the property was excellent! Was close to broadway which had lots of cafes as well as the standard Starbucks and Tim Hortons and a 7/11 just on the corner which you could catch the #14 bus which takes you straight downtown via many great locations! Having been apprehensive as I’ve always stayed in hotels this was a great affordable option and would definitely stay here again! Your own private bedroom with a lockable door, a shared bathroom which I always found to be clean and I didn’t even hear the other guests. I was out at 5am till 7pm most days but never had any issues with noise. If you’re looking for something simple and affordable in a great location I would definitely recommend!

Located 4 minutes’ walk from Jericho Beach Park, this Vancouver hostel features free WiFi in the common areas and an on-site café. Great place. Very clean, friendly staff. Even in a room with 16 beds, you have some privacy as the rooms are sectioned off into 4-bed areas. A 10 minute walk to the bus stop where you can get anywhere you need to in the city. It's not cheap but I think it's the cheapest place to stay in Vancouver, and of course Vancouver is an expensive city. I'd stay here again for sure.
