Christina was amazing! We are Americans and don’t speak a lick of Portuguese and although her English wasn’t strong either, (but it’s 2023 and phones and google exist) so that wasn’t a problem AT ALL. She made sure we comfortable and had fun. She checked on us regularly. The location is safe and is in walking distance of great food, bars and shopping. I kinda didn’t want to do a review because I wanted to keep this hidden gem to myself, but Chris deserves all the raving reviews she can get. Thank you so much for making our Rio experience so amazing!

Convenience of having the restaurant on the property. The staff was super attentive and even met us outside to help us with our luggage. The cleanliness, decor, and grounds made it feel like an extra special location while visiting Rio.

Located in the historical and cultural heart of Rio de Janeiro, this 5-star boutique hotel offers a unique concept of tropical design and panoramic views of Rio de Janeiro’s bay. Staff is really friendly. I also quite like the hotel tour they offered. Restaurant is amazing.

Tião Botelho Guest House in Rio de Janeiro provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and barbecue facilities. The rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. Moreover, the host was extremely friendly and very eager to help, advise or give recommendations. Would definitely book the accommodation if traveling to Rio again!

Ideally situated in the Santa Teresa district of Rio de Janeiro, Lobie Armazém São Joaquim is situated 2.4 km from Flamengo Beach, 1.2 km from Escadaria Selarón and 2.7 km from Municipal Theatre of... I just loved staying right by the carnival blocks! Awesome neighborhood, the bars, the food, the comfort of the room... flawless.

Rio de Janeiro’s historic and cultural neighbourhood of Lapa is at your doorstep at the Hotel Americano. All rooms come equipped with air conditioning and cable TV. Free parking is available. My room was large and my bathroom had been newly renovated and had a large jacuzzi. I also had a small entrance room that had a fridge and computer table. I was comfortable and overall enjoyed my stay. The location is relatively central although you do have to walk a bit to the metro.

We had a fantastic time at Rio144! From the owners to the staff, everyone was incredibly nice and accommodating. Jerome, in particular, stood out as a remarkably friendly and attentive host. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and every detail was thoughtfully attended to. Our stay was filled with comfort and hospitality, making it truly memorable. Additionally, the view from the place is unreal – we could even see Christ the Redeemer from the pool! We highly recommend Rio144 to anyone looking for a delightful getaway experience. Marcelo is the best host I have ever had. he is very accommodating and treats his guest very well. We were a relatively big group, but he was very helpful with helping us connect with taxis and other local spots/things. His property is a gem, absolutely beautiful, it is an oasis and I felt very comfortable and peaceful. I had the room with the double suite which had a hammock and that was very enjoyable. The breakfast was a treat every morning where we would get fresh bread, meat +cheese, fresh fruits, and juice. We did not get to enjoy the pool, but it looked really nice as well. We had the chance to meet his dog and cat and they were very nice as well. I recommend everyone to book this space, it was truly beautiful. And the neighborhood of Santa Teresa was also very nice. I will be back in the future. Marcelo and the property were just amazing.
