It was a good stay, the roads are well constructed but have lots of speeding cameras and the best part of everything is that there are big supermarket retails nearby all the b&b, hotels and guest houses. The likes of spar, pick and pay and checkers

The location, tranquility, and layout of the facility are awesome. The staff are respectful and friendly in response to you. The hotel is nicely tucked away while at the same time close to shops and activities of interest. The only concern is the potholes in the surrounding roads, but that is true throughout the area.

The view from God’s Window is breathtaking.
The view from God’s Window is breathtaking. The accommodation and access to it leaves a lot to be desired. I would definitely visit White River again but I will be giving the accommodation I booked a hard pass.

Is white River under-rated...for sure!
Is white River under-rated...for sure! I spent a week there and really I could have spent more time. It is such a beautiful city with breathtaking views. So safe!! Cleanliness is visibly noticeable on all streets and areas. Places I visited:
1. Casterbridge Centre which has Sabie Valley Coffee(Yes! however 50 metres away at Bagdad centre is Kings Coffee which i believe is of the highest quality of coffee and cheap, delicious food. Sabie valley coffee is overpriced! Casterbridge has many curio arts and craft places, car museums, Belgian chocolate store, mexican restaurant and greek restaurant.
2. Another 50 metres away at the next exit of the round about is a small little food place called Route 40. Delicious curries.
3. Drove to Sudwala Caves, Dinosaur Park and Butterfly park all on the same site as Sudwala Caves. So you can spend a half a day on those activities.
4. Spent a day at a quaint, beautiful town called Kaapschehoop. Boy was this a treat. We did the hike, ate yummy food at the local restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed this untouched beauty!
5. Drove early one morning to the Numbi gate, got there by 6am and enjoyed a full 12 hours driving in the Kruger National Park. Spotted many, many animals. A well worth trip.
What an amazing stay at White River and a perfect base location central to all the activites we planned.
The very quiet location does it for my beautiful peaceful sleep surrounded by virgin land that breathes fresh air to the location. The rooms are large and so are the bathrooms. I enjoyed the verandah especially for a morning chill with a cup of coffee. The WiFi is great and the breakfast was amazing. The kitchen staff were very friendly. I admired the swimming pool and wished I had brought my swim suit as the pool was sparkling clean. Destiny lodge is a great place to be👌🏻
Pheladi the receptionist gave us a warm welcome, took us to our rooms and we were very excited as it's not exactly as shown at booking. Com, the team consistently came to check on us if we are still OK and don't need anything and to top it all they even borrowed us their Bluetooth speaker as we had a small speaker. #Keep up the great work team Noma nini.. Will definitely come back at Noma nini when visiting white river.
Please update the photos at booking. com
I loved everything about Destiny Lodge Moreno their customer service staff is friendly, the food at the restaurant is absolutely amazing. The Manager constantly check on guests and if you need anything is a phone call away.the pool is clean ..ohh and there is big latching trees which we were given when we arrived. I will definitely return there everytime I am in mpumalanga. The rooms are big also...
The accommodation was excellent, spotless clean, fantastic room facilities and the main lodge building was charming and a lot of care and attention has been given to make it so stylish and comfortable. The staff were very well trained and very friendly. The food was excellent with plenty of choices and all home cooked. This is an excellent place and next time we will stay longer.
The tents offered all space, comfort and facilities one can expect (except wifi), although don't expect "luxury" like what is advertised by the lodge.
For us, this lodge was a good place to overnight in White River, in order to break a long drive in two smaller parts.
Oliver's is a small slice of calm and attention to detail. It's a welcome reprieve from the decaying and llitter strewn streets of White River and surrounds. We would highly recommend the food and very warm hospitality
The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The property is located in a fantastic natural location with access to the white river, a very tranquil place with lots of natural things to enjoy
