The owner is very much involved and hands on. We had an unpleasant check-out due to staff and he very quickly dealt with he situation, even though he was not physically there. He did not sit on the issue or wait for me to complain.

Coming from Zimbabwe we generally overnight in Polokwane en route to Johannesburg. We enjoy the facilities in Polokwane that provide for our agricultural requirements, since we are farmers, and the Mall provides for our shopping needs.
However, there are no decent restaurants in Polokwane. Most are chain restaurants and the service is poor, menus are unchanged and the food isn't great.
Further shopping in Polokwane central is always avoided due to the high incidence of crime.

An unforgettable part of the trip was when one of my colleagues managed to pop the proposal during dinner at Oceans Basket. This has turned this journey into a lovely memory. Overall, it was a great place to be, and getting around on our intended path wasn't an issue.
This is not my first visit to Mavuta Manor, I have stayed at Mavuta Manor and also at Mavuta apartments. I go to Polokwane regularly and this is the only place I will stay at. If they are fully booked, I will change my travel plans to stay there. I am always received warmly by the staff and nothing is too much trouble. I needed to have a meeting and they arranged a private lounge area for the meeting. Lovely décor and linen. You can see that a lot of effort went into the interior design of the rooms.
The accommodation is cosy, comfortable, clean and safe. Definitely my preferred accommodation in Polokwane and you want for nothing as there are extra blankets, a hairdryer, fridge with milk, coffee and tea condiments, TV with DSTV, free WiFi, plugs to charge your phone, cordless lights for load shedding and a personalized note wishing you an enjoyable stay. 11 out of 10 - highly recommend.
Generally, this hotel leaves a good impression. The fine dining restaurant is elegant with its white tablecloths and the food was very good and the service was excellent. The bar is welcoming. The terrace creates a relaxed, care-free atmosphere. Very friendly staff. This is the "go-to" hotel for all of our future far North trips and return trips to Gauteng.
Small, very quiet and exceptionally clean facility. Cozy! As good as new and modernly furnished. Small splashing pool. The host constantly takes care of your well-being. Free upgrade offered. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Polokwane.
