I stayed for one night. Checked out. Moved to another venue. Need a refund for the funds paid in advance. No water. Room smells of dampness Wrongly advertised. No a B and B. Advert misleading. I can give a very bad review on social media etc. please refund my money. You can Norman how long I stayed there. I left on Saturday morning. It derailed all my plans I had for the long weekend.

2 great golf courses, Selbourne & Umdoni. Rocky bay just round the corner which has many rock pools to explore. Be sure to also look up Mokarran Dive Charters for a great diving experience to Aliwal shoal or for a snorkelling boat trip to shallow reefs.

Liked that it was pet friendly. My dog had the most fun. Even though there was load shedding there was some light available, wifi still worked, there's a gas stove and games to keep yourself entertained. Its value for money especially if you like the old feeling. A pool would definitely be so much better!
If you looking for a restaurant that's reasonably priced and a few minutes away, checkout The Beach Cafe, good food with beautiful views and it's pet friendly and child friendly

Quiet little area on the Southcoast with lots of retired folks. Small shops - great coffee shop, barber, OK shop for food quite basic, not far to bigger centres in Scottburgh or Port Shepstone South Coast Mall etc.
Good beaches, very peaceful and great vacation location. Must be great living here permanently! Lots of golf courses and other activities like Crocodile Farm etc.

Our Rooms at Selbourne Golf, Hotel and Spa, faced the Golf Course and in the early morning, little bucks would come down and nibble, it was truly special, the walk to the Restaurant and Reception Area is beautiful. We mostly ate at our Hotel, but he private beach was an experience, and as we drove down, the area had an OK Bazaars, Restaurants on the beach next to the Private Beach.
At our Hotel, we took wonderful walks around the course, extremely safe and absolutely beautiful, your spirits feels fed by the beauty.

Pennington is a wonderful beach town, which is not over...
Pennington is a wonderful beach town, which is not over crowded, it has lovely beaches and a friendly atmosphere. The Ski boat club is great if you are looking for a relaxing evening out, their fish meals are fabulous. Everything is walking distance, and easy to access.
Exceptional panoramic ocean views from the house. Loved the history, mostly in its original state, very impressive. Gardens are well maintained, and tranquil. Good breakfast, it's a set menu. Charles, Nancy and Sheri were incredible hosts! We enjoyed a short stroll through the Umdoni Park Forest, got to see some buck. Dinner at the Club House was really good although only served some nights. Overall, our experience was peaceful, we felt rested.
If you have extra time, you can explore the surrounding areas...
Fantastic experience. The place was very nice and the security was good, the golf estate gardens were beautiful… the place was very peaceful.. the house was clean, spacious and good for hosting a group of people… there were enough bathrooms for everyone we didn’t have to share… the place is close to the beach and the view was awesome we could see the trees… all the rooms had air conditioners so it was very cool even though the weather outside was very hot….
Breakfast was same everyday.No bouffet breakfast.Staff shortage at the hotel.Just one person taking orders for breakfast.Long wait .The clubhouse was excellent.Wide range on their menu.Nathalie was exceptional,friendly and knowledgeable.The hotel limited menu.Didn’t have dinner at the Hotel but the staff was helpful and friendly.Golf course excellent.Tom at the Pro shop was very friend and helpful will definitely go back but the hotel needs a overhaul.
Place was excellent , Clean and hosts we accommodating and welcoming.
Views were exceptional...and overall a great place to stay with easy access, nice pool and safe parking.
Bathrooms and Showers were also exceptional with a Patio overlooking the Ocean.
Very Happy and will be back again when we revisit the South Coast.

It felt like a home in paradise, we didn't want to leave! Highly recommended for an amazing holiday as a couple, friends or family and added BONUS is that its pet friendly so we could bring our dogs with
300m and you are on the beach. Private garden. Nice touches like a bag of ice in the freezer, nespresso machine with a few pods, fresh indigenous cut flowers in the room with a nougat treat. Beach towels and umbrella to use. Little south coast gem that is small dog friendly.

The location was just what I wanted, away from the noise of the CBD, just to listen to the sound of the birds sing and nature. I loved the house the most, it's interior, it's design.... I mean everything was top notch.
The house and the estate is gorgeous. Surrounded by nature. The beach is also just a few minutes drive. Loved seeing the animals coming by the house. The house had all the necessities. I could visit again
Botha House is a peaceful, clean, lovely place with friendly staff and we enjoyed the beach, its secluded and felt safe in that environment. We have referred friends for quality time and tranquility.
A very clean place with great kitchen and the aircon rooms was amazing with KZN being so hot. Kathy sent us the loadshedding schedule daily and help us with anything we needed. We will stay again
