Everything! The place is beautiful and the rooms have everything you could need and more, cute little personalised touches such as welcome cookies etc just made it feel like home, it is clean and specious and the food was amazing. The safari with Eon were the best Safari we experienced, his love and passion and unlimited knowledge about the animals and nature are just amazing and we learnt so much! Also recommend the horse Safari with Simone who does an amazing job and made this a special experience, she is so knowledgeable and friendly! This is a place not just run for profit but to truly create a paradise for nature, animals and humans.

Santos Beach was spectacular and very clean with easily accessible public toilets, good water temperature even in Spring, and plenty of free parking available. A swim or a walk on the beach come highly recommended.
The Point offers an affordable visit at the small aquarium, soft serve stalls, restaurant, camping grounds, a zip-line over the sea, and the caves overlooking the sea with the adorable and goofy dassies (Rock hyrax) hanging around the cliff face and parking lot.
Carol Ann's restaurant caters modern meals including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free / wheat free, to suit a wide range of tastes, with attentive and friendly service. It is a special occasion restaurant with excellent high quality cuisine, with a variety of options to make it worth the visit.
The Tai Shan restaurant offers a wide variety of oriental dining with Vegetarian, Asian / Chinese, Seafood, Chicken, Soup, Japanese, and excellent Sushi. Generous portions and in-store promotional offers make it a good consideration if you aren't in the mood for steak or seafood, and they are available on the Mr. Delivery app.
The Diaz museum hosts a scale replica caravel (ship) of the one used by famous Portuguese explorer, Bartolomeu Dias, and is a unique photo opportunity and a sight to behold.
Day boat trips for sightseeing and fishing are readily available at the harbour, and shark cage diving expeditions on booking (if you're feeling brave), with no shortage of pubs and excellent restaurants.
There are numerous flea market / curio shops around and about, especially in the downtown Mossel Bay, and nearby Hartenbos with the ATKV with waterpark and water slides, indoor heated pool, as well as other attractions, so be sure to plan your day trips to include some exploring the different attractions.
Overall, it makes for a great 3-5 days of fun in the sun, and is definitely a worthwhile visit for family and friends.

Mossel Bay is a beautiful city, not overcrowded, it makes a perfect vacation to relax and recharge. The only challenge is public transport, Uber & Bolt are almost non-existent, it's mostly private taxis that you have to call and they are always busy, making the waiting time a bit longer. I would recommend you come with your own car or you hire one, you'll enjoy the place even more without transport inconveniences.
Overall, it's a beautiful place with more than enough to offer visitors.
We had a good room, convenient for the restaurant and breakfast area, and the pool. Staff were friendly and cheerful. And the breakfast was fantastic. We had a very good meal in the Gannet Restaurant one evening. It was a short walk to the Old Harbour and beach. And it was a two minute walk to the really interesting Mossel Bay museum where we spent an enjoyable few hours. We had parking immediately outside the hotel entrance. We also did their gin tasting one evening - highly recommended!
The character of the hotel was so unique, never stayed anywhere like it! Had great facilities like speak easy bar, honesty drinks, heated pool and a lovely terrace for a welcome drink (sadly it was cloudy when we were there but I imagine the view from there is good!) The staff were lovely & helpful. If you find yourself in Mossel Bay I would definitely recommend a stay at Betty’s!
Very clean. Beautiful views. Well equipped for self catering. Super comfortable. Wonderful decor. Warm and caring host. I come to Mossel bay at least 4 times per year and have stayed in many places. Authentic is by far the best and will always be my stay of choice.
The breakfast was very good and the location in Mossel Bay was within walking distance of the town centre and The Point area. The \guest House was great.
