Knysna Log-Inn Hotel, hotel in Knysna

Two of Knysna's most well-known hospitality brands, The Knysna Log-Inn Hotel and Graywood Hotel, have merged.

Buffet breakfast was good, but amount of food on the buffet was allowed to run out. No one seemed to be checking and we had to ask for more sausages and bacon to be laid out. By the time they arrived, I had finished eating. Small thing, but important, to me at least.

The highlight of Knysna is that it encompass a variety of activities and adventures. Majority of the resturants we visited provided very good service and amazing seafood 🦐 Myself and my partner particularly enjoyed the boat ride on a 40 ft Catameran from Ocean Sailing Charters ⛵️, which came after a wild Ziplining experience. The Knysna Heads should definitely be visited for the scenic mountain and ocean views 🏞. A wonderful walk on the wild side feeding elephants, was another major highlight 🐘 ❤️ The icing on the cake was a young detour in Plettenberg Bay for a romantic date on the beach 💙🌊🥂 I would definitely recommend this dose of peace, serenity and absolute bliss 🌍

A very chilled place - just very serene place to go. It can be a little expensive for the type of food offered in several restaurants - price doesn't really match portion of menu. The people are friendly, there's a few activities to do if you're adventurous. It's a great place to stop-over for a couple of nights and then continue with your journey. The Waterfront is very lovely. I suggest you there. The Mall is also great for shopping - don't get lost though because there's about 4 mall/square areas.

One town that’s full of adventure around every corner from the heads to the old drift to Brenton on sea to buffalo bay to jubilee creek to the forest to lands end. Just too many wonderful experiences to be had in a vibrant and friendly town! Honestly, the best place.

If you are planning a trip along the garden route then Knysna is a must visit spot. The views across the lagoon and the Knysna Heads are amazing and so many options for accommodation from camping by the lagoon to 5* hotels. It is also a good base to explore the Eastern end on the garden route right up to Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). There is also a number of fantastic mountain passes to drive up to the Karoo, but make sure you have a good vehicle and a good head for heights. Knysna is fantastic and well worth a visit.

As a place to stay, Knysna is rather small, and moreover less secure after dark than other places. Knysna and its islands/view points can e.g. easily be visited from Plettenberg where there is much more choice in terms of restaurants. 1 day is more than enough for Knysna.

This was our first time staying at the Knysna Inn (we got upgraded) and it was the best hotel experience I have ever had. The waterfront is walking distance. We explored quite a bit on foot. Martin the manager was exceptional with his knowledge of the area, giving references of nice places to see to make more memories and he always had time and showed us interesting things by the hotel eg. Animals carved in certain places in the woodwork. We will definitely stay there again when in Knysna. The breakfast was also fantastic!!!!!

The place is spacious with a very good view to Knysna lagoon, also full of fruit trees and lovely veg garden, fresh eggs from chickens… The hosts and helpers are very friendly and helpful, there was a hot water issue during our stay but they came assist immediately and offer the alternative. The location is convenient to everywhere but we also enjoyed just relaxing and chill in the estate which surrounded by a sweet dog Emily, playful cats(ginger and shadow), birds, deer… very tranquil and peaceful stay.

The location was perfect. Right on the waterfront and within walking distance to the restaurants and the boat rides. Very easy to go into the town and to the tourist spots in Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. The apartment is self catering and there is a garage shop opposite the complex to get the necessities. Beautiful views and tastefully furnished that we did not miss anything from our own home and the apartment is fully equipped with even enough towels and firewood for the cold nights.

Pleasing location in the delightful Belvidere Estate. Quiet, with very little traffic or pollution. Close to the Bell Tavern, Belvidere Manor Hotel, the jetty on the Knysna lagoon and opportunities to wander around Belvidere with it's parkland areas and rich bird life. The unit was comfortable, spacious, well equipped and even stocked with consumables. Our host was very accommodating and even provided bird feeders outside the balcony which were restocked every day.

The best place to stay in Knysna? Beautifully located rustic cabins next to a small private beach where you can swim safely, or play with the kayaks and paddle boards provided. Lots of greenery gives shade and a pleasant jungle-like feel. Self catering with excellently equipped kitchen (first time of finding a fondue set in a rental cabin...) Good atmosphere; all other guests we talked to loved the place, too. We recommend this place to couples, families, everyone!
