We loved our stay at stay at The Hazendal Estate! Rooms are beautifully decorated and the restaurant serves delicious food. Staff is also very friendly and professional, we felt like royalty everytime we came across staffmembers everywhere on the premesis. There are also a lot of activities at the hotel, also for kids. Our kids really loved Wonderdal and the putting park was also a big hit. The location for us was also very convenient as it is nicely located between Cape Town, Paarl and Franschhoek.

The property is so uniquely build up and build by the owners itself over the years which makes it even more special. Everything is so beautiful and wel thought of. The breakfast is amazing. The rooms are so cosy. The view from the room is so stunning. You feel straight at home.
Next to that Marilyn and Eugene are the most nicest people ever. The passion that Eugene has for the wine makes you want to dive deeper into wines yourself. His stories and explanations were so interesting. And the wine they make is amazing. The tasting with Eugene is a must.
Overall this place is a little bit of Italy within Stellenbosch and a mesmerizing place. I would give it an 11 if it was possible. Can’t wait to come back here!

2 nights were too long!
2 nights were too long! Its a real backpackers with old furniture and really not clean. Parking is on the grass but be careful, you do get stuck in the mud. Take your own bedding and towels and any personal items. Theirs is disgusting and the excuse is about keeping the costs down. Cleanliness costs nothing!
