The breakfast set out on the balcony was lovely. The service was good, however the quality of a couple of items did not match the setting. Orange juice was not freshly made, bacon reheated, eggs cooked as requested.

Hermanus is a beautiful quiet city.
Hermanus is a beautiful quiet city. Close to many Shopping Malls and not even crowded.
Our host, Kosie, went out of his way to make our stay in Hermanus memorable. Even concerned about our safety when the storm wreaked havoc in other parts of the Western Cape. Kosie, along with the owner of the accommodation, advised us to stay an extra night, free of charge and to rather travel home when it was safe to do so.
Kosie and Owner, thank you so, so much for concerning yourself about your guests and put their safety ahead of monetary gain. Will definitely return to Hermanus, Voelklip for my next vacation.

We often visit Hermanus and love it there.
We often visit Hermanus and love it there. Great beaches, tidal pools, cliff path walk and views and excellent restaurants too.
Super wine farms nearby and other small towns to explore in the region. A great base from which to discover the Overberg region.
Once in a while you stumble across a charming lodge that makes you want to return to the town, just to stay at the same place. So it was with Pelagus Guest House. The whales from the front window were so completely unexpected. The house is right across the street from the ocean and the whale viewing is over the top. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and we all 6 felt so very safe. Breakfast was perfect as well. I have been to Hermanus many times and Pelagus is now my permanent favorite lodge when I am in Hermanus.
Exceptional experience and happy place to be!
We had the chance to get to know the host Dirk during our 1 night stay. It was such a lovely and welcoming experience. Expect homestay but at best 5* level. You will have more than you can wish for (e g. cold refreshing towels and drinks on arrival, full turndown service, ...) and indeed an incredible breakfast. Area is also very nice and calming with cliffs way prettier than center of Hermanus.
I'd say somebody fulfilled their dream with this place and you can feel it.
This was our first experience at a BnB and it was a great time! Evelyn who was our hostess was kind and got us settled in. The overall vibe was very Home-y and felt like I was a guest in someone's house. The entire place was very clean. The bed was probably the most comfortable I've ever stayed in. It was in a great location, we felt safe walking around the neighborhood which was mostly residential. Short walk or drive to restaurants and the Hermanus cliff walk. Definitely would stay again if coming to Hermanus.
Lovely, clean and comfortable rooms decorated just beautifully. The pool is great for a little afternoon siesta. Everything about the property was just terrific for our few days stay in Hermanus. Stefan is a master at putting together a fantastic breakfast, as is he a master at regaling great stories and advising on activities in the area - a perfect host with amazing energy who takes the safety and comfort of his guests very seriously. we loved staying at Penguino and would absolutely do it again!
Fantastic hotel, mixes modern facia with the old, beautifully done, the owners, very hands on and approachable, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room, 106, was superb, and position A1.
Breakfast included, in the Heritage restaurant, was great, and the staff there were also very good.
Overall if I could have given them a score of 20 instead of 10, I would, as it was a fantastic experience, we love Hermanus, been there many times and would fully recommend a stay in Misty Waves
Our stay at One Marine Drive Boutique Hotel was a true delight, leaving us with memories of unparalleled hospitality. The The staff is truly set it apart from the rest. They were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, making our stay unforgettable. Breakfast surpassed our expectations. If you're seeking an unforgettable stay in Hermanus, this boutique hotel is undoubtedly the perfect choice. Highly recommended. We will be back again and again.
We had the most amazing stay at The Whale's Tale. This absolutely beautiful guest house exceeded all our expectations. Evelyn is a warm and very welcoming host. Our room was huge and very luxurious, with a sea view and beautiful balcony with sun loungers and seating area. Breakfast was delicious. Next time we visit Hermanus, we will definitely stay here for more than one night
I love the Spanish design of this hotel and the convenient location. Good service and fairly priced. The rooms are spacious and we even got a complimentary bottle of wine on our return visit. The clothes and suitcase space between the bathroom and main room also works for me. This is my first choice of hotel in Hermanus.

Small, personal hotel in a quiet area. A little bit outside the city but quick to drive to Hermanus
The Marine is one of our favourite hotels
The staff are so lovely. Rooms are lovely. Food is lovely. There is nothing not to like about this hotel. Lovely location and views are stunning. Cannot wait to return.
Located just on the edge of Hermanus right beside ficks pool, they had just opened the new section of the hotel and the new rooms are fabulous but what makes this hotel even better is the staff.
Excellent. Very safe area. Hermanus is really a gem of a town! go out explore, there are caves near Gansbaai 20 minutes away. Walking on the beach at sunset is a must.
