We were staying in Prizren for only one-night to break up a long car journey from Skopje to Kotor, so we chose the Prior hotel based on its central location, guaranteed car parking, and of course price. We were not disappointed in our choice.
We recommend you approach Prizren (a labyrinth of small streets) from the southwest, via the University - this leads you directly into a one-way system with the Prior Hotel being on your right-hand side but set back slightly from the road.
Car parking is a nightmare in Prizren - on arrival at the hotel you can drive straight into the underground garage - perfect.
Our room was quite small and somewhat old-fashioned, but certainly adequate for a one-night stay.
The Prior hotel is a 3-minute walk from the Stone Bridge (the central square of Prizren). After the first minute you enter a pedestrian zone which has been completely renovated (95% complete). This pedestrian zone has numerous coffee shops, bars, mosques, churches (both Christian and Orthodox) as well as being overlooked by the Prizren Fortress - very picturesque and pleasant.
The central square of Prizren at the Stone Bridge is surrounded by numerous restaurants - we chose to eat our evening meal sitting alongside the river flowing under the Bridge - very romantic!
Breakfast is a 'fixed' plate - omelette, salami, cheese, bread, coffee - with the bonus of a second plate (of sweet crepe). Breakfast was quite filling and set us up nicely for our 5+ hour drive over the mountains into Montenegro.

The hotel was a bit tricky to reach because of closed roads and road works and given that it's super expensive to use data roaming with a foreign sim-card navigating was not easy. When we finally found the hotel we learned that there are two different buildings but they are very close to each other. A friendly guy from the wrong one ran to the street to show us where to go and pointed out the underground garage. While checking in the receptionist first told me that my reservation was for the next day and just as I was beginning to panic he winked and started laughing. 😅 A good joke.
The room was very basic but quite big and had a balcony, but there (balcony) was no furniture to sit on.
Location is very central and breakfast was ok.

Really nice place, right in the center of Prizren. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room is quite spacious, very nice, if you have the one with balcony, there is a nice view of a church which is right next to the hotel. Breakfast was good.

Prizren is a very fine and charming Ottoman town.
Prizren is a very fine and charming Ottoman town. The climb to the fortress is certainly worth it. It has great atmosphere and lots of bard and restaurants in which to chill out. I would recommend a two day visit. It is a good place to sample the unique experience and recent history of Kosovo. The 'nice' bit of Prizren is around the Sinan Pasha mosque/Orthodox Cathedral, so do make sure you stay there. You can walk anywhere.

Prizren is the must-see city for tourists in Kosovo.
Prizren is the must-see city for tourists in Kosovo. Maybe spend a day in Prishtina, but be sure to spend a day in Prizren as well. Focus on Old Town, where just about everything historical is located. Be aware that in that part of town often there is no sidewalk, but the cars can't go very fast on the small, winding streets. Feel free to explore the town on your own, without a guide. Don't miss the hilltop fortress for a panoramic view of the entire city. It is not necessary to take a taxi in Prizren. The bus station is a short walk from Old Town, where your accommodation will probably be located.

Everything was perfect!! Starting from the location of the hotel (5 min walking from center), the rooms were very clean and confortable with a lot of space!! The stag also was polite and very kind and made our stay at Prizren wonderful!!!
