When I arrived earlier than standard check in time, the hotel manager, Savlat, allowed me to check in early. He gave me a room on the third level, with my own balcony, overlooking the streets and the mountains beyond. Speaking good English, he allowed me to print some documents for the next leg of the journey, and even helped me photocopy a copy of my passport for me. Savlat and his family helped run the hotel, giving guests good (but simple) breakfast, round the clock access, and cleaning the room for you if you asked for it. Water is also free to ask. Registan Square is about a 12-15 minute walk away and Mansur Shashlick is also a stone's throw. You cannot ask for anything better!
