This Inn is a little hidden when driving through the town and we were definitely traveling during non-peak season. The streets were dead! Either way, we got to the Inn and thought we had the whole place to ourselves, because there were no other cars in the parking lot. We walked in and saw a beautiful, modern lobby with a fireplace going. The room was spaciously small, if that makes sense. There's no elevators in this place, so be prepared to carry your luggage around.
Breakfast was good too. They had a little bit of everything, but better than a continental breakfast at a normal hotel.
I would stay here again.

Nothing no staff on hand to register and get room entry- room 114 was in a filthy condition had to phone the receptionist back out to get another room after 15-20 of messing around then got offered another room as key card didn’t work on room 116 finished up getting a room although we asked the receptionist for a refund but was told that we had to contact booking.com. The receptionist that booked us into the hotel was very unhelpful and not once did she apologise at any time! I would recommend this hotel to anyone there are other faults but too long to make at this time. 😡😡

Lovely room comfortable and clean. It even had a kettle which was a delight as I am not a coffee drinker. So was able to have tea. The staff were friendly and helpful. The complex had free laundry a bonus.

A bucket list type trip! Do not miss out on staying in West Yellowstone, just outside the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. This town was cute as a peach. We stayed at the 1872 INN (adults-only) and I could not recommend that property enough! Excellent accommodations with ample parking, great location and excellent breakfast included in the stay. The food in this town is TOP notch and these Montanan's know their meat and potatoes! And I know good food being from Chicago. There are plenty of shops to walk around on a rainy day and don't miss out on the Yellowstone Brewing Company. Great beers on tap and a wide selection.
One thing to note is to NOT BUY bear spray. There are a few Kiosks scattered throughout the town (one in the same building as the brewery) where you can rent bear spray for about $10 a day. You will definitely want to carry bear spray with you if you are hiking in any fashion.

My husband and I truly enjoyed West Yellowstone.
My husband and I truly enjoyed West Yellowstone. The vistas within the park were absolutely stunning. We spent 2 days touring this section of Yellowstone. We are well travelled and this trip to Yellowstone is one of the best vacations we have taken. The town itself is cute if not a little dated. It had good shopping for souvenirs and decent restaurants. The people were friendly.

West Yellowstone is a resort town built for a basically captive audience of seasonal tourists. Consequently, as one might expect, it is expensive and chock-full of kitsch. Yellowstone NP is in a very remote area, and in-park accommodations are limited, expensive, and need to be booked a year (or more) in advance. So, staying outside the park, in West Yellowstone and Gardiner, is a popular option. We stayed in both, to have convenient access to different parts of the park. Yellowstone is huge, and trying to explore the park from just one location can result in an inordinate amount of driving and wasted time.
So, unless you're camping in the park or fortunate enough to land a room at one or more the in-park lodges, you will be staying in West Yellowstone or Gardiner, or both. They are tourist towns, first and foremost, and exist in their current state only because they are so close to the park and have no real competition. My better half doesn't mind the inflated prices and relentless kitsch. I do. YMMV.

It is convenient to Yellowstone, and the Inn is very close to the park. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, tourist shopping, and museums. The drive travellings to and from is beautiful. I recommend The Grey Wolf Inn.

Nice town with lots of choices for food, shopping and motels. Unfortunately, I would not stay at the Yellowstone Country Inn again. The Outpost had a very good breakfast. Dinner at Three Bears Restaurant and Old Town Cafe was very good. Staff at all three restaurants was also very good.

High Marks Rentals were great in customer service and friendliness renting great new model snowmobiles. Great eating establishments. Parked the snowmobiles right outside Kelly Inn for convenience. Full active days in the wonders of what God created.
Drove our snowmobiles to eat at night! Drove to the grocery. Gased up each day at the Sinclair a couple blocks on the way to trails and open fields. Very deep deep powdery snow. Especially up on Two Tops.
Tired at night. ☺️😴

I love a good boutique hotel and this property is well-maintained, clean, in a great area (3 min drive to the West park entrance) and intimate. It has all the basics: free pastries/coffee in the AM, fridge (not freezer) in the room, decent water pressure, water refill station, parking, etc. The staff member for check-in and every morning was kind and helped however he/she could. The location was excellent: within walking distance to dine nearby, shop for souvenirs, buy snacks for the room/hiking. Would stay here again!
I recently stayed at the Best Western Desert Inn in West Yellowstone and had an excellent experience. The room was clean and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The breakfast provided was delicious and offered a good variety of options. The hotel's location is perfect, as it is very near to the Yellowstone National Park entrance, making it extremely convenient for park visits. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Yellowstone.
This hotel was a great option for West Yellowstone! It feels recently remodeled, with tasteful Western-style decor and comfortable beds. Everything felt clean and fresh, and the reception was very helpful and friendly. We easily walked a few blocks to get dinner, and the hotel's location near the entrance of Yellowstone is incredibly convenient. The hotel felt quiet and safe, a comfortable retreat after a day of strenuous outdoor activities in the park.
Great location for Yellowstone if only the authorities had not closed the park! Not the hotels fault and they were very helpful in letting me cut short my stay due to the park closure. I will use this place again when I make another attempt to visit Yellowstone. Don't let 1 star put you off. If all you need is a decent sized room with a comfortable bed, Wi-Fi and a good shower then this is perfect.
Terrific employees, especially front desk staff. Hotel is minutes from West Yellowstone entrance. We also could easily walk to everything in West Yellowstone. Breakfast was good; breakfast staff was very attentive. We thought this was a great place to stay if you want to stay right outside of the park. It was somewhat dated but very clean. We would stay here again!
Excellent hotel with clean rooms that had big comfortable beds, great breakfast and lots of welcome extras (free hot drinks, ice cream happy hour and s'mores kits to use by their fire pit). Staff were friendly and helpful, great location close to Yellowstone national park and Grizzly bear and wolf centre is just over the road.
It was a very good surprise: great price compared to other hotels/b&bs in west Yellowstone, perfect location just by the Park and near all shops and restaurants, clean and very quiet (no noise of any kind, which was important to us!), friendly staff
The location was excellent for the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. The cabin was within walking distance of all of the amenities of West Yellowstone. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was functional and clean.
Convenient location in West Yellowstone near Park entrance. Room was spacious, bed comfortable, bathroom adequate. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was good right outside room. Good location with walking to nearby restaurants.
great location to the town we stayed in West Yellowstone. walking distance to everything, restaurants and shopping.
Miles from the entrance to Yellowstone. very nice hotel. perfect for the price.
Best hotel we stayed at on our three week road trip. Very near the Yellowstone park gates.
We were placed in the Grizzly building across from the main reception. Lovely room.
Breakfast was great! Room very clean, spacious and comfortable. Great accommodations right in West Yellowstone, right near the entrance to the park. We loved our stay!
