Location was great and the room met our needs, first time staying in a motel and it did not disappoint. The family suit was great for four of us, it was just one night and so the kitchen wasn’t used. Room was clean, bathroom had everything. Stayed there during the ‘off season’ so wasn’t crowded at all.

nothing!!!!! we never stayed at this location because it was not a very good room and was dated about 20 years ago. It was a one room location with everything in one room per say and had a odor

It was our first visit to Tybee Island, but I hope not the last! Everyone was really friendly. The beach was our main focus, and it was beautiful and clean. The whole place has a small town feel, which was so relaxing. Our kids on the trip loved being able to walk almost everywhere. We ate at Stingray's (my favorite), Fannie's, Pier 16, and The Crab Shack. Oh, and the pizza place, I think it's called Huckapoos. That pizza was really good!

Tybee Island is now my favorite place - and I don't often say that about every vacation spot. I was in desperate need for relaxation with my high-stress job. I wanted a lower-key location with something fun to do in the afternoons while I enjoyed early morning and late night walks and swims in the ocean. Tybee Island was perfect - I particularly enjoy the tip of the south end of the beach and going up the western side where it was quiet and I could watch wildlife. On my trip, I saw numerous birds, tiny crabs, horseshoe crabs, jellyfish, and a sting ray that one fisherman caught on the south shore! In the early mornings after sunrise, I would sometimes be the only person wandering along the southern tip, sometimes just a few others look for shells and wildlife like me.
For afternoon trips, I enjoyed visiting the island's lighthouse, making an excursion out to Fort Pulaski, and shopping in all of the cute small shops. There are so many ice cream and drink spots, and we ate seafood everyday at Sting Ray's. We wanted to try other places...but honestly, it was so good, right beside of our hotel, and we were so full afterward that it was nice to just collapse into bed! Additionally, there were two great breakfast spots in the south side of the island that were very affordable, and that had buffets if that was what you wanted.
The only thing I regret about this trip was that I made it for three nights, and honestly, I wish I had done at least one full week.

The island is ok; however, it was Memorial Day weekend and there were a lot of people there. I personally would not go to Tybee Island on the holidays. My favorite spot is The Crab Shack. We ate there several times during our stay. Again, I would not go to Tybee during the holidays due to the crowds.

The beach is awesome!!!!
The beach is awesome!!!! And free dolphin sightings were a major plus! The water is clear & clean, the sand is soft, & the town is very laid-back & quiet. Great place to relax & reset for the whole family. Food is better in Savannah though, FYI!

I loved the Monday afternoon farmers market.
I loved the Monday afternoon farmers market. We did not like our dog could not go on the beach. Fin's pizza is the best. It is easy to get around Tybee, but you do need to pay attention to the one way streets.
What went well? Absolutely everything! 2 pools are amazing also location is wonderful compared to most of the hotels on Tybee Island. Not including the free parking next to the beach for hotel guests! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful the entire time, for example: during the time we stayed a heavy storm came through causing a power outage for multiple hours and when we asked for any information the staff gladly shared what they knew!
The house was spacious and very nice. The bed linens were so bright and fresh making the beds look so inviting. The house is tucked into a treed lot which makes it very inviting. If we come back, we would bring our two little dogs since it's pet friendly. Master bath remodel was great, a large bath with a big walk-in shower. The living room furniture was comfy and large. Overall, a great place to stay on Tybee Island.
Very nice family runs this hotel, I'm on Tybee all the time & often stay here because they're almost always the cheapest rate on the island
The beach is a block away across Butler & its located in the middle of the island so it's a short 10-15min walk whether you want to visit restaurants & shops on the north or south end
The main IGA grocery store on Tybee is also a 5min walk just a few blocks south
Nicely decorated and located in quiet area of northern tybee island. We liked riding our bikes around the island, especially to the lighthouse and north beach. The walk to the nearby beach access is a little farther than expected but not worth driving and paying to park.
Always a great stay at the Dunes, short walk to everything on the south end of Tybee Island, Joy is the best at the desk, remembers me everytime I visit, also Dunes Cat out back regularly greets guests, very friendly kitty made my day!
It is old hotel but they did keep it clean but could use some Renovations and cleaning it more cleaning as in the breezeway but staff was okay the rooms were kept clean and it's right in the middle towards downtown area of Tybee Island
Everything was great! Super comfortable beds and soft bed sheets. Enough towels for everybody. It was really good we were able to use 2 beach chairs provided. Good A/C, all what you may need to cook and more!
The room was nicely done and newly renovated. The pool area was wonderful. Location was good but I was expecting beachfront. Area had a lot of bars and the restaurants were only average.
