The Gates Hotel Key West, hotel in Sugarloaf Shores

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, the Gates Hotel Key West is located off US-1 and 11 minutes' walk to Key West Tropical Forest and Botanical Garden.

The room size was good, pool side was great, but bar and food too expensive, you get more ice than the drink, free shuttle were great and that you could use next door facilities, the DJ on the Sunday was fab, great music played, makes a difference if your poolside for the day

Hilton Garden Inn Key West / The Keys Collection, hotel in Sugarloaf Shores

This Key West Hilton Garden Inn from the The Keys Collection is 2 minutes' drive from the Key West International Airport and 10 minutes' drive from Duval Street.

Pool. Shuttle to downtown. Due to very nervous situation I forgot to ask name of receptionist, who was helpful beyond any expectations and very much solution-oriented, so finally we got accommodation and enjoyed our stay at Keys.

The location was good for getting to Key West, only 20 mins away. there is a good size fridge in the room. the view is nice, but can't enjoy it outside because of the bugs. The Tiki bar is still closed. There's no coffee machine in the room, which really is inexcusable for me. To pay $800+ for 3 nights and have to go outside to the tiki bar to get coffee, no thanks! You need to bring your own hair conditioner, and body lotion. Bottom line, I would not recommend . I didn't eat in the restaurant there, but their menu is high priced. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was grungy looking.

I found the office staff helpful and kind.

I found the office staff helpful and kind. The beds comfy and lots of hot water. Water pressure just so so. The patio outside was great. Overlooking the water was great, although it was not good for snorkeling it was good for seeing sea life! My kids took videos of lobster and a shark. Fridge was a good size and very cold. Great location = 30 minute drive to Mallory Square or Bahia Honda (maybe a few minutes less). Room was just a standard hotel room and seemed over priced to be outdated and not offer a microwave to at least heat up left overs. Free tea/ coffee in the morning at the tiki bar was great though. Room has 2 sinks, one for the bathroom one in the room which is great and the internet was powerful. We appreciated that. We appreciated being able to modify our stay (due to Elsa) with out penalty, and will stay again.

Room was very cool and looked out over the water. Very 1960s vibes except with an updated television. The coffee bar they have outside was awesome and they actually leave the coffee out for a little bit because Key West (fun fact) is very low crime. High ratio of police to citizens due to the number of people that visit so it's very safe.

I have stayed there before so I knew what to expect as this was an older style motel. Clean & great staff. The price was more than I paid in Jan 2022 but I booked it anyway. There ended up being places closer to downtown Key West that would have been cheaper then we paid.. I was disappointed with that :( otherwise all was good.

The Sugar Loaf Lodge was a great location just north of key west. We were able to save about $70 by driving 35 minutes north. The check in process was simple and the staff was very friendly. The room and bathroom were clean and we had a nice view of the water. It was a perfect place to sleep.

The view out of the room was incredible and more than worth the stay. You look at an expansive bay with green mangroves with crystal clear water. The grounds have chairs and places to sit. There is great restaurant on the property for dinner. Only 15 minutes drive to Key West.

One of the coolest old Florida spots in the entire Keys. The views, rooms, and food at South of the Seven were perfection. Loved the pool and nearby waterways as well. Such a beautiful and historic locale!
