We booked 3 rooms for my kid ND graduation weekend. The front desk manager is a Superman ! He seems aways working in the hotel. He is capable to solve problems. There was one car with super loud music on and parked outside of my hotel room, I waited around 12am then called front desk, a girl answered but didn’t do anything. Then I called again, it was answered by the front desk manager, he went to the car and talked to the driver for quite a while, I saw him from my window. He was nice but firm to let that driver turn the music down. I lost his business card but remember him. He speaks Spanish and smokes outside.

The staff were very friendly and respectful. The breakfast was good on both mornings we ate. The hotel was very clean, and room service did an amazing job. The rooms are very big and provide for an ample amount of space. We stayed in the double bedroom and we had 2 beds, a sofa, and a lounge chair. There is a wall between the beds and the lounge chair/sofa that gives you some privacy or peace and quiet from the rest of the room. The hot tub was relaxing and the pool was at a decent temperature. The gym was a good size and allowed for a good workout. The hotel is only 12 minutes from the convention center or campus.

We stay in a lot of hotels. This was clean and had a great gym as well. I would say the only disappointment was the breakfast. They had a lot of options but some of it was not edible. With that being said we made due. Still a great stay. Clean, spacious room with comfortable beds.

I love South Bend.
I love South Bend. It’s a great size city and I find the people very friendly. There are many good restaurants and I love the variety of great ethnic places to eat.
Some of my favorites are Cre-Asian, JW Chen’s, Sunny Italy, Cosimo and Susie’s Italian restaurant. For fine dining: Cafe Navarre, LaSalle Grill and Artisan ( in Elkhart). It's easy to get around South Bend. Of course Notre Dame is here and there is a variety of things to do there. Take a walk around the gorgeous campus. Enjoy your stay.

If you're a car history fanatic you won't want to miss the Studebaker Car Museum. Of course, if you're an Irish Football fan this is the place. Also, Tire Rack is located here if you are in need of new tires- our 1st stay.

there were a few birthday parties going on and lots of unsupervised kids screaming and running around the pool. lots of mold growing in the pool area ceiling dripping water off the ceiling. later in the evening the fire alarm was pulled by a child or burnt popcorn not really sure what happened. that was scary!

Went for Norte Dame football game. The college experience is awesome! The entire campus was beautiful and memories for a lifetime. Everyone there so friendly. Best places to eat are all around the college. Yes there is a lot of low income areas close by, but that is this entire country.

Very clean downtown, river walks are nicely kept. Lots to do and places to visit, everyone we met seemed friendly enough and the restaurants were good. (PEGGS for breakfast was great). Beautiful homes around the area we stayed. Notre Dame was well worth visiting.

The mother of my son refused to let him stay because of all the mold they can look on the camera to see her come and then leave with him I was all alone Because of this on New year I would of left but I couldn't because I had a couple of cocktells
Nothing, Clarion Hotels should be embarrassed. The filth on floors, (assuming) water stains on the ceiling, debris left in the rooms from previous guests. The back of the bathroom door looks as if it hasn't been cleaned in years. I guess I missed the HUGE spider web by the outside entrance that covers the only light. I could count 5 quarter size spiders. It had to be a least a foot long and 8" wide. My last complaint after entering my room, No electric - I had to find the fuse box and flip switch(s).
The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was very spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I think their pillows and bed are the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The sheets are also high-quality Marriott products. I did not use the pool or fitness room, so I can't comment. The full breakfast was better than expected. The dining and lounge area is spacious and comfortable. I traveled outside Notre Dame sports events and graduation times. The hotel was not full so the price was very good.
The manager there was amazing, as was the morning staff. Very friendly, down to Earth people. Instead of having us wait, he upgraded our room to a king because our room wasn't completely ready! The new owners have remodeled this hotel beautifully! This will be our o to hotel when we go to Niles, Michigan from now on! It's a further drive from our family, but we'll worth it! It was a wonderful stay there!
The staff was helpful and made the check in and check out process very easy. After being on the road for 10+ hours I was grateful to have had a comfortable and clean place to stop. There is a Whole Foods nearby which made for a nice quick dinner stop. I did not get a chance to use the pool or hot tub, the putting green or the cornhole but this made me want to come back to Indiana to stay here for a fun weekend!
We particularly liked the room design where one person could sit and read on the couch or work at the desk, while another could easily sleep on the other side of the room partition. We really appreciated the hotel's quiet location, well away from interstate noise. The breakfast area was well provided and had various healthy foods, both the typical eggs and sausage plus yogurts and fruits.
The rooms are very well laid out and comfortable. I like having a useful desk, a compact bath area but the best part was the comfort of the bed. Most hotels now use comforters/duvets that are too heavy and therefor too hot. The bedding at Aloft was SUPERB - thank you!
The breakfast selections were ok, fruit was fresh and the area was very clean. The lone attendant was excellent at managing the food supply, cleanliness and the large number of customers on Sunday morning. The room was large enough, the bed and bedding were comfortable.
This was such a nice hotel and so close to downtown South Bend and Notre Dame University. The receptionist was absolutely wonderdul. We missed the famous breakfast but will be back in September and will try it then.
The night desk worker who checked us in and helped us with the wifi was a diamond in the rough. She was a genuine pleasure, very hospitable. She was the best part of our stay at the hotel.
Even though it was by the airport, you never heard any of the air traffic. Everything was very comfortable and the staff was very kind. Will book again when in the area.
